I rubbed the sleep from my eyes letting out a yawn as I sat up. I looked around to see I was in a white room. Nothing in the room but the walls, a door, and the bed I was in. I looked down noticing I was in all white clothes too.

I got up and walked to the door. The cold floor stinging against my warm feet.

I pulled open the door to see another room, this time it was white with baby blue.

"Hello?" I called out, walking further into the room. It looked like a waiting room in a hospital.

"Oh Stiles!" I heard. I turned to see a women running toward me.

"M-Mom?" I asked as she wrapped her arms around me. "Is it really you?"

"Yes baby, it's me. Oh look how big you are." She smiled smushing my cheeks in her hands. "But, you're not supposed to be here." She said almost immediately.

"What do you mean? Where am I supposed to be?"

"With your pack silly." She laughed.

I rolled my eyes, "Yeah, okay."

"She's right kid." I turned to see my dad.

"Dad?" I felt my heart swell as he wrapped me in a hug.

"Hey kiddo." He said in my ear. "You have to go back."

I pulled away from him. "I-I don't want to."

"Honey, you have to. They need you." My mom said.

"No they don't! They'll be fine without me! I wanna stay here, with you." I felt tears sting my eyes.

"There's someone you need to meet." My dad lead me into another room.

"Stiles!" A women with long brown hair and a soft smile walked toward me. "Do you know who I am?"

"Talia...D-Derek's mom..." I said softly. I only ever saw Talia in pictures. I remember the first time Derek ever told me about her...

I picked up a photo that was sitting by Derek's bed. I smiled it was Derek and a women.

"Is this your mom?" I asked. He turned to look at me. "Uh, yeah. That's the last picture I got with her before the fire."

"You look just like her." I said softly, setting the photo down.

"Everyone used to say that." He chuckled lightly. "I'd give anything for two more minutes with her." He said tearing up. He quickly shook it off and straightened up, "come on, we have to go." He said rushing out of his room.

She nodded.

"He misses you." I said.

"And I him." She sighed, "but, Stiles honey, you can't stay here."

"Why?"

"Something big is coming. The pack is going to need you."

"I think they can handle it."

"How can I word this better for you..." She sat quietly for a moment. "There's a special kind of balance needed for a werewolf to be in sync with both his human side and his animal side."

"One zen werewolf required, great, I still don't get where I come in."

"Derek can't do this on his own, he needs you. You're his anchor."

I looked up at her in shock. "Me? But, no, that's not....his anger is his anchor..."

"Not anymore. Not only does Derek need you but the rest of the pack does too. You bring comfort, they will need that more than ever."

"They'll be fine. They're probably happy I'm gone. Especially Derek."

Talia sighed. "Why don't we show you."

---------------

The next thing I knew I was sitting outside the Hale House. Derek was sitting next to my body growling at anyone who came near.

"Derek, go inside!" Cora yelled. Derek sent out the loudest growl I've ever heard him muster.

I turned my attention to the front door that was just flung open.

"Scott!" Allison cried running after a very upset Scott.

"Leave me alone!" He yelled back, taking off into the woods.

I looked to see Erica, Boyd, and Jackson on the porch in silence. "We'll figure out who did this." The words floating out of Jackson's mouth were ice cold.

"Derek get up!" Cora cried, making me turn my attention back to the Alpha.

"Let me go, Cora!" He shouted, his voice cracking as he pushed her off of him.

"Derek!" She yelled, Derek finally breaking as he buried his face in his hands, Cora wrapping him in a hug immediately.

The twins walked out of the woods arguing about the guy who shot me. Lydia walked over to the house and wrapped Isaac in a hug who stood silently by himself.

"He can't be gone." He said, voice barely audible. "He can't be." A tear rolled down his face.

It got really quiet for a moment before I heard a howl. I turned toward Derek again to see him howling toward the sky. Cora joined in a second later. There was a howl in the distance that sounded like Scott. Isaac, the twins, Erica and Boyd, Jackson. Even the humans did their own little howl toward the sky.

"They need you Stiles." I heard my mom as the picture in front of me faded and we were placed back in the room from before.

"I need one thing..."
