Mom's right. Mom's always right. Of course I know what to do. Well. Kind of. I just have to figure out how to do it.
Foods always a good choice. I could get a deer.
No, this is Stiles. If I bring him a deer that I killed...he'll kill me.
I'll just take him out to get curly fries. Yeah. That's good. He'll like that.
--
"Derek!" I heard as I got out of my car. I looked up to see Stiles standing on the roof.
"What the hell are you doing!?" I yelled back.
"Watch!" He smiled stepping back a bit before hurling himself off the roof. His wings spread out and he was flying. He figured it out. He taught himself how to fly.
I watched him lowered himself back down to the ground and retract his wings. "It's awesome isn't it!?"
I nodded, "Good job, Stiles." He smiled. "You wanna go get something to eat?"
"The answer to that question will always be yes." He replied.
--
I listened to Stiles ramble on about his college classes while we ate. The smile on his face seemed to melt everything else going on around us.
"Oh!" He started, "Here." He pulled out his wallet.
"It's on me." I said.
With a sigh he asked, "Are you sure?" I nodded. "Well..then...can I get another milkshake?"
I laughed, "You can get whatever you want."
He squealed thanking me as he gulped down the last little bit of his current milkshake.

Stiles POV
I got home early on Monday because my professor cancelled class, which thank God because I just really didn't want to go today. Unfortunately, nobody was home when I got there.
I sighed as the doorbell rang in the middle of my Supernatural marathon. I set the book Deaton told me to read about angels to the side as I got up. It's totally for show in case someone walks in I can pretend like I'm not wasting my life away. I answered the door seeing a delivery guy with a bouquet of flowers.
"Uh, hi?" I said.
"I have a delivery for a Stiles Stilinski?"
"That'd be me." I said taking them from him, "Thanks."
He grunted before walking away. I closed the door setting them on the kitchen counter. There isn't a card or anything with it. I wonder who they're from? Scott's probably just being a douche. Who knows.
--
"Hey." I jumped seeing Derek behind me.
"Hi, when'd you get home?"
"Like two seconds ago." He said opening the fridge. "Flowers?"
"Yeah, someone sent them but I don't know who." I watched him open a bottle of water and lean against the counter as he took a drink. "It's probably some kind of joke."
Derek set the bottle on the counter. "I doubt it's a joke." I shrugged, "Do you at least like them?"
I nodded, "They're pretty. My mom loved Tulips. My dad would always buy her the red and yellow ones." I smiled to myself. "Do you know what the colors mean?"
"The red ones are a declaration of love." He said.
"Yeah," I nodded. "The yellow ones are 'hopelessly in love' at least that's what my dad told me." a smile spread across Derek's face. "I wonder who's declaring their love for me." I laughed.
"Any guesses?"
"I'm still set on Scott playing a joke on me, so no. But I'll keep you updated." I said.
He sighed. "Okay." He turned to the freezer pulling out some chicken. "Chicken Alfredo for dinner?"
"Sounds good."

Derek POV
I can't believe he thought the flowers were a joke. Seriously? A joke? Why would someone play a joke on him like that? I sighed as I made dinner. Stiles was sitting on the counter across from me humming to himself as he played on his phone.
"Her Der?" I turned to look at him, "What's your middle name?"
"Tyler. Why?" I asked.
He shrugged, "Just curious."
"What's yours?" I asked, "Your first name."
He laughed, "Here." He said typing away on his phone. A few seconds later my phone went off.
From: Stiles
MieczysławI looked up at him. "I like it."
"Ew. Why?" He laughed again.
"Mechi means 'sword' and slava means 'glory.'" I said.
"How'd you know that?" He smiled.
"My mom was into stuff like that."
"Then why is your name Derek?" He laughed.
"Because in older English my name is Dederick, which was in origin a Low German form of Theodoric. Theodoric is a name meaning "ruler of the people" so my mom put a lot of thought into my name." I said.
"And look at you now Mr. Alpha." Stiles smiled.
"Guess she knew me better than I know myself."
Stiles looked down, "You're pretty great, you know that?"
"Am I?" I asked.
He nodded sliding off of the counter. Walking over to me he wrapped his arms tightly around me. "I don't know what I'd do without you, Der."
I smiled hugging him back, pressing a kiss to his head.
