"Hey, Derbear." I sang walking into Derek's office. Derek hummed from his desk not looking up at me from the papers in front of him. "I think it's about time you and Scott talk."

"No thanks."

"Please, Bear?" I moved to sit in his lap. "I'm just as angry about what he said as you but he's pack and you guys need to sort this out."

"He's only still here because of you."

"Oh shut up, you love him like he's a brother."

Derek sighed, wrapping his arms around my waist, "What do I get out of this?"

I raised my eyebrow, "What do you want?"

He sat silently for a moment, "I really want pizza."

I snorted, "We can have pizza."

He smiled pressing his lips against mine. "I love you."

"I love you, too."

--

"Where is everyone?" Scott asked as I set the pizza box on the kitchen table.

"What're you talking about?"

"You said there's a pack meeting? There's nobody here?"

I scrunched my eyebrows together, "I said we need to meet."

"Same thing?"

I watched Derek walk into the kitchen, pressing a kiss to my cheek before grabbing some plates out of the cupboard. "I'm surprised you actually got him here."

"Seriously, why am I here?"

I took a plate from Derek, grabbing some pizza and a few wings before turning back to my best friend, "Because you two assholes need to sort your shit out."

Scott rolled his eyes, "There's nothing to sort out." Derek huffed a snort, pulling out pizza for himself. "How'd you even get him here?"

"I live here, Scott."

"You know that's not what I meant."

"He wants to have my babies, so he does things for me." I replied, sitting in the chair next to Derek. "Please, Scotty?"

Scott sighed, dropping into a chair with a groan. I handed him a plate with pizza on it, seeing him take it begrudgingly.

The two didn't bother speaking a single word as they ate. I glanced back and forth between them a few times. "Do I seriously have to do everything?"

"What the hell do you want me to say?" Scott snapped.

Derek growled toward the other, "Relax, Derek." I turned toward Scott, "I don't know, maybe apologize?"

"For worrying about you?"

"For being an asshole." Derek interrupted. "I seriously can't believe you would fucking accuse me of-" He stopped, letting out a harsh laugh.

"I wouldn't have said it if I didn't have a reason."

"But that's it, Scott. You had no reason. You'd been bugging me repeatedly about coming clean to Stiles for months. So, I finally fucking do and you accuse me of only doing it to keep him in the pack?"

I looked at Derek, "Wait, he what?"

"Yeah, and then out of nowhere you guys just rush off to do the mating ritual as there is a threat out against us." Scott ignored me.

"Because he's my mate and I love him! I told him if he didn't want to we didn't have to."

"Stiles is a pushover!" Scott yelled, "He hates telling people no!"

"I know when he's lying!" Derek snapped.

Scott rolled his eyes, "you and me both know he has learned to steady his heart beat."

"Scott, he literally can't lie to me."

"I know you're the alpha. But Stiles is Stiles."

Derek took a deep breath, "I'm not saying that. He literally can't lie to me, he gets this stupid little grin on his face and his cheeks get red and he swears he's telling the truth and all I do is look at him and he breaks. He hasn't lied to me since..."

"My dad..." I said quietly, looking at Derek who now had ahold of my hand.

Everyone was quiet for a long time before I excused myself. Thinking about my dad still hurts. A lot. And I know I can see him whenever but just like Derek said, it's not the same as actually having him with me.

Derek POV

"I'm sorry." Scott said softly, "I didn't realize..."

"Didn't realize what?"

"How serious this whole thing between you guys is."

"Scott, I love him. So fucking much. And you of all people should know the last thing I do is put my wants first." I sighed, "If he didn't feel it too I wouldn't have even told him he's my mate."

Scott nodded, "You're right. What I said was really messed up, I get if you don't forgive that. But I'm sorry."

I nodded, "I should check on him."

When I found Stiles he was sitting in his room looking through a photo album, I sat down next to him.

"I really miss them." He said softly.

"I know you do."

He closed the book, setting it beside him. "Do I really do all that when I lie to you?"

I nodded, feeling a smile on my face, "Yeah, you do."

"I didn't realize you noticed things like that."

"I notice everything to do with you."

Stiles leaned into me, "I love you."

"I love you, too."
