Chapter 13

"LORI GET UP! WE'RE GONNA BE LATE FOR THE HOMECOMING GAME!" Kaylee screamed as she yanked my covers off my bed and me along with them.

I panicked and grabbed onto the first thing I could get my hands on. Turns out that was Kal's shirt. Crap. He yelped and fell down on top of me.

My face was pressed into his chest and I swear my heart must have been beating a mile a minute. I could feel myself blushing. Thank goodness he couldn't see my face right now.

"GROUP HUG" Kaylee screamed and then leaped on top of Kal and me.

"HOLY MOTHER OF ALL THAT'S HOLY!" Kal screamed and struggled to push Kaylee off of us. He stood up, grabbing his crotch, and screamed some very inappropriate words. "WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM KAYLEE?"

"OWW KAL! WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT FOR? AND IT WAS A GROUP HUG IDIOT WHAT DID YOU EXPECT ME TO DO?" Kaylee accused from the from her spot on the floor.

"WHAT PART OF THAT WAS A GROUP HUG? LOOK LORI IS STILL LAYING ON THE GROUND!" Kal yelled back.

"I-I'm fine," I reassured them from my spot on the floor.  Kaylee had jumped to the side and had hit mostly Kal instead of me.  I stood up and started to walk towards my closet.

"Lori wait! I'm helping you get ready! Out Kal! Shoo!" Kaylee herded Kal through the door and into the hall while making a shooing motion with her hands. She shut my door and turned towards me with a huge grin on her face. "I'm going to get you ready for your date!"

"Wait, what date?" I started to panic. I don't even know if Kal and I are officially dating and I definitely didn't know about a date.

"I told you we're all going to the homecoming game! Even Dax!" Kaylee said as she started to look through my closet.

"Kal and Dax don't know about this date do they?" I asked.

Kaylee turned back towards me with a sly smile on her face, "Nope!"

The car ride was really quiet without Darcy. She had to arrive at the game early so she could warm up and practice her goalie skills. After we bought our tickets we sat down in the bleachers and got ready to watch the game.

"Look guys it's Darcy's brother! Hey Tom!" Kaylee waved at a man with short brown hair and moved to sit with him.

"Hey Kaylee, Kal, and," he paused and lowered his voice, "Dax." He looked at me and said, "You must be Lori, nice to finally meet you."

I smiled. So this was Darcy's older brother. "It's nice to meet you too."

We sat down by Tom and the Soccer game finally began. Our team was doing really well, but so was the other team.

"GO DARCY! GO GO GO! WOOO!" Kaylee yelled from right beside me. "COME ON DAX CHEER WITH ME!" She grabbed Dax's arm and raised it above his head in an attempt to make him cheer.

"Uh, I'm fine Kaylee," Dax tried to pull his hand back down, but Kaylee held it up above his head.

"DAX COME ON! DARCY'S YOUR FRIEND! YOU HAVE TO CHEER FOR HER!" Kaylee yelled as she struggled to keep his hand up.

"No I really don't. Let go Kaylee!" Dax tugged his hand down finally.

"Come on Kal! Help me!" Kaylee pleaded before Kal sighed and reached over to yank Dax's hand back up.

"THANKS KAL!" Kaylee yelled just as Dax screamed:

"KAL YOU TRAITOR!"

Kal smirked and gave a small shrug, "Hey, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em."
