Luke Brooks Imagine 2

 

I walked towards the familiar house that I seemed to visit each day. His house was my second home ever since I moved here, four years ago. He was the first person that I became best friends with after my parents got the exchange to work in Melbourne, Australia. At the time, he was sixteen years old and I was thirteen. We became friends because we used to be neighbours. However, my parents decided it was time to move in a bigger house a year after because we had finally settled in the Australian life style. Even if I moved a couple blocks away from him, we kept our friendship by having movie dates, going for a picnic at the park and watching the sunset on the beach. Today was another example of our so called “Friendship Dates”. However, I was now seventeen and he was twenty. The age of twenty seems so old but as I walked closer to his house, I realized that he was the same boy that I met four years ago. The only difference was that he was now YouTube famous with his two siblings and his two best friends- The Janoskians.

“Hello love,” Jai embraced me into a tight hug at the door before putting his shoes on and heading out towards his car.

“Where are you going Sloth?” I called him by his nickname that I gave him when I met him. It seemed that everyone called him that these days.

“I am going to pick up Ariana at the airport. Do you want to come? I’m sure she will be glad to see you!” he asked

“I’ll just wait for her with Luke. Tell her I miss her and we should have a sleepover soon in case that I leave before you show up.”

Ariana was Jai’s girlfriend of two years now. During that time, I grew really close to her because she was the only girl that I could lean on when needed. While I walked towards Luke’s room, I was thinking about how in love they were and how they always made it work no matter the time difference. I silently hoped that someday I would have relationship as strong as theirs. However, the person I hoped to be my Jai probably doesn’t feel the same way as me.

“Hey Luke,” I jumped on his bed beside him where he was playing video games.

“Hey beautiful,” he said while stopping his game to look at me.

“What shall we do today?” I asked him

“Mhm, I was thinking that we could make a video together?” he told me

All of a sudden, I felt like coming here wasn’t such a great idea. I didn’t like being in front of the camera and worst of all over the internet for all of the Janoskian’s fans to insult me. Luke was really good at noticing when I didn’t like an idea so I wasn’t surprise to hear him say:

“Never mind that was a bad idea because I know how much you hate the camera. But I would be there for you, holding your hand along the way.”

I looked up into his big eyes that always changed my mind.

“Fine,” I replied

“YAY!” he started to shout and do a crazy dance around his room while I started to laugh at his crazy moves.

“What video do you want to make?” I asked him. I was hoping that he wouldn’t say a challenge video.

“I was thinking that we should do the make-up challenge video.” He answered as if he read my mind

I have seen many kinds of these videos to know that the girl usually ends up with eyeliner on her lip, mascara on her eyebrows, lip gloss on her eyelids, and the guy always ends up with the perfect face.  Even if I already knew the outcome, I agreed to do it with him because I knew that we would have fun and he would add a twist to the video.

“Should we use my make-up or your”

“I think we should use mine.” Luke’s finished my sentence

“I think Beau’s would be a lot cleaner.”

“How about my mom’s make-up?”

“How about I go home and get my make-up?” I asked him

“I’ll come with you.”

Once we arrived at my house, we realized that I had too much make-up to carry all the way back to his house so we decided to film the video in my room with the camera that he bought me for my birthday. We started off the makeup video with Luke as my masterpiece. His skin looked so flawless until he had to lick all around his lips, smudging his lipstick and foundation.

“How do you know so much about make-up?” he asked

“Well I am a girl.” I told him

“Seriously? I thought that you were a guy that just liked to dress up as a girl. I guess that I can’t be friends with you anymore.” He joked back

“hahaha so funny Lu, now close your eyes so I can apply this on.” I didn’t give away the name so he wouldn’t be able to know what to put where for me. After I finished his makeup, I took a picture on his phone and put it on his twitter, tumblr, facebook and instagram. However, he didn’t know because he was too busy cleaning up his face so he could do mine.

“Close your eyes, Melanie.” He told me

I did as I was told while he started to apply a very sticky product on my eyelids.

“Aren’t you going to tell the viewers what you are doing?” I asked

“I am putting some hot pink gloss on your eyes because it is supposed to bring out the eyes even more. Plus, it matches your shirt.”

“That’s what everyone wants these days…” I joked

“Now, I am putting some foundation on the cheeks because I want to bring out your cheeks bones.” He said while brushing it on my cheeks

“I am now applying some blush on your nose because I want it to stand out as well.”

“Now, I will be finishing the eyes by putting mascara on your lashes and eye liner on your eye brows.”

“Are you missing anything else?” I asked while plucking my lips. I wasn’t asking him to kiss me but telling him to put lip stick on it.

“Oh yes,” he said before doing something that I didn’t expect. I thought that he was going to look around in my make-up kit for something that seemed like lip gloss but instead I felt warm lips against mine. At first, it was just a small peck but then I brought him back for more. It was at this moment that I realized that Luke felt the same way as me. Luke could finally be the Jai that I was looking for. We pulled away from the kiss and looked into each other’s eyes before he finally spoke.

“I have wanted to do that for a long time.”
