Alexandria's POV
I opened my eye's, 10.47am, holy crap, I'd slept in, but I didn't blame myself, I really didn't go to sleep until the sun started coming up. I'd been thinking and I couldn't stop.
Matt. I couldn't believe he had a date. I was confused before, now I was more confused than ever. He kissed me, ignored me and then went on a date. If this was what as Karen called it, a real relationship, I didn't think I wanted any part of it.
I climbed out of bed and peaked out my window. Matt's car was parked in the drive. Did that mean he was here? I wasn't sure. It seemed I wasn't sure of anything really.
I went into the bathroom and had a shower, spending time on my hair, I loved my hair and it was something I actually liked about myself, probably the only thing really.
I went to my wardrobe, wondering what to wear. It's not like it mattered, I wasn't doing anything, but still, I was one of those girls who always liked to look nice. I got that from my mother, she always had her hair and make up done, heels on, even just at home.
I put on a nice pair of denim shorts and a black sleeveless sheer top with a cami underneath, then I glanced in the mirror. Yep, smart but casual.
I stood at my door, taking a deep breath before I opened it. If I saw Matt I wasn't really sure what to do.
I opened the door and I could hear music coming from Lola's room.
"Morning sleepy head." She said, bouncing up the stairs with a couple of drinks in her hand. "How did you sleep?"
"Okay." I said smiling.
"We might do something later." She called, going into her room. I nodded, listening to Brian talking to her.
Great. Three's a crowd.
I walked quietly downstairs and into kitchen, making myself a coffee. I could hear music coming from the entertainment room and my guess was that's where Matt was, playing a game.
I snuck over quietly, peeking in the door. The game was on pause and I could see his legs hanging over the end of the couch, crossed, and one foot bouncing, and I stood there, watching. I wanted to say something, but I didn't know what and it seemed I didn't have to anyway, because as I started to turn away he suddenly sat up, clutching the game controller to his chest.
"Alex." He exclaimed.
"Sorry." I said quickly. "I didn't mean to interrupt."
"You're not."
"Oh."
He looked at me and I stood there awkwardly, not sure what to say.
"Would you like a coffee?" What the fuck was wrong with me?
"Um no." He said shaking his head.
"Okay."
"Come and sit down." He said, motioning to the couch.
I looked, not sure where to sit, he basically took up the whole thing.
"Oh." I mumbled. "Um." I was lost for words.
"Alex." He said softly and I looked at him. He held out his hand to me.
I looked at it, then at him, then at my cup of coffee. Fuck. Why was I so hopeless in social situations.
"Put it on the table." He said softly.
I quickly walked over, putting my cup on the coffee table, turning to look at him again.
He held his hand out again and this time I took it and he pulled me gently down next to him.
"So what are you doing today?" He asked, looking up at me.
I looked at him, still laying on the couch, me perched on the edge and I shrugged. "I'm not sure."
"You can watch me play." He suggested. "Or better yet, I can teach you how to play."
And tell me about your date I wanted to say, but I didn't. "I guess."
He smiled. "Well get comfy." He said, indicating to the space next to him and holding out his arms.
I sighed, at least he wasn't ignoring me anymore.
I layed down, turning to face the screen, he had one arm under me, one over me, holding the game controller.
I tried to listen as he explained what I was supposed to do, but it just seemed so technical.
I took the controller, attempting to do what he said, but I failed miserably.
"No." He said softly, putting his hands over mine. "Like this."
"Maybe you should just play." I suggested.
"And what are you going to do?"
"Maybe go for a drive in my car." I said.
He suddenly paused the game. "I want to go for a drive too."
"Your game?"
"Wait five minutes and I'll finish it." He murmured. "Can you just...." he trailed off.
"What?" I asked, worried.
"You're kind of on my arm a little."
"Oh god I'm sorry." I said, going to sit up.
"Wait." He said. "Just turn over, I know you won't be able to see but my arm will be free, I can finish and we can go."
Oh dear god, I thought turning over, there wasn't much room on this couch and now here I was, looking at his chest and neck. This was the closest I'd ever willingly been to a guy and well, I kind of liked it.
"Fuck." He suddenly said and I heard a thump.
"Did you drop it?" I asked.
"Huh, no, well yes." He mumbled.
I looked at his tattoos, peaking out the top of his shirt. "Do you want to pick it up?"
"Yes, no, shit Alex." He murmured. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay, I can move." I whispered.
"What?" He asked, moving his head so he could look at me. "I'm not talking about the controller."
"Oh."
I looked up at him, not sure what to say.
"Yeah, I mean, I'm sorry for, well you know." He murmured.
I was watching his lips as he spoke, remembering what it felt like when he kissed me and I wanted to feel it again, I really did.
"Alex, are you listening?" He suddenly asked.
I dragged my eye's away from his lips. "Yes." I whispered.
"Are you?" He asked.
I nodded. "Yes, I swear."
"Okay." He whispered. "Look Alex, about that kiss."
"Yes?"
"I'm sorry."
Oh no. He was sorry. "Why?" I wished he wasn't.
"Huh?" He asked, frowning. "What do you mean why?" He shifted slightly and I felt the muscles in his arms. "Because I shouldn't have done it, you didn't like it."
"Who said." I whispered.
"Who said what?"
"Who said I didn't like it?" Oh god, what was I saying.
"What?" He scrunched his face up, looking confused.
I looked at him and I just stopped thinking, ignoring my thoughts. I leant forward a little, pressing my lips to his.
"Alex." He murmured against my lips.
I pulled back slightly. "I'm sorry."
"What, god no, don't be sorry." He said, his hand going into my hair. "Please don't be sorry." And this time he kissed me.
I closed my eye's, it felt as wonderful as I remembered.
"Alex." He whispered and I opened my eye's, looking at him. "Alex, I really like you."
I sighed, closing my eyes. "Matt, I'm damaged." I whispered and that was the truth.
"No." He murmured, kissing my forehead. "You're not damaged Alex, don't say that, you just have a few little dents, that's all."
I smiled, little dents.
"Let me help you." He murmured. "I want to help you."
"You already do." I whispered. "So much."
"Yes." He murmured, leaning over and kissing me again. "But let me help you Alex, really help you."
I nodded. "I'd like that."
He smiled and kissed me softly. Oh god, I never realized it could be soft, so nice, so perfect.
"Are we going for a drive?" He asked, pulling me closer.
I smiled, god, I really liked Matt, alot. "I was kind of hoping we could well you know."
"Kiss?" He asked. "You want to kiss some more." He smiled and I nodded. "We can do that Alex, we can kiss all day."
I smiled as he put his lips back to mine.
All day. I liked the sound of that.
