Alexandria's POV

"I better go." I told Karen, standing up. "Matt's probably waiting for me."

"Matt's picking you up?"

"In my car of course." I told her laughing.

"Things are good with Matt?" She asked.

"Thing's are great with Matt." I told her smiling.

"And you're ready for the weddings?" She asked.

I shrugged. "I guess. As ready as I'll ever be."

"I'm so proud of you Alex, you've come so far from that shy timid girl I first met." She told me, hugging me. "You have a fabulous relationship, friends and you're going to be bridesmaid twice. I never would have thought I'd see it happen."

"I'm lucky to have such great friends." I said, hugging her back. "And you, for helping me through all of my awkward times."

"It's been my pleasure Alex." She said. "Now go, Matt is waiting and I'll see you next week."

I walked out smiling. I'd warmed to Karen, eventually and in all honesty, she'd helped me so much. I was down to only seeing her once a week and my life was back on track.

I spotted the car and ran over jumping in. The first thing I did was lean over and kiss Matt softly.

"Hi." I whispered.

"Hi." He murmured against my lips. "Ready?"

"I certainly am." I said, doing up my seatbelt.

He reached over, putting his hand on my leg and giving it a gentle squeeze as he started to drive. "What do you feel like doing tonight?"

I shook my head. "What ever you want."

"Oh, I see." He said grinning. "In that case I guess we're staying home, but we'll be staying up all night."

"I like the sound of that." I said laughing, but tingling. I really did like the sound of that and I was determined to spend as much time with Matt as possible. The album was finished, it was going to be released soon and the guy's were going to get busy. So in between Brian and Lola's wedding and Zack and Sarah's wedding I was determined to spend every second with him.

"Good."

I was surprised when we got home that Brian's car wasn't here, but I guessed he would probably be coming over soon, basically him and Matt had moved in with us, although, once they were married, him and Lola were going to buy their own house and that made me sad and a little unsettled, I wasn't sure if I should ask Matt to move in permanently and the thought of living by myself again unsettled me.

"I'll get the mail." Matt told me as we got out of the car and he headed off to do that while I headed inside.

I opened the door and looked at the alarm panel. We'd been getting lazy lately and not setting it and I reminded myself that I needed to speak to Lola about it.

"Lola." I called out, throwing my bag on the side table, heading into the kitchen.

I walked in and stopped. Lola was sitting at the kitchen bench, sobbing. She had her hand over her mouth and she looked at me, her eye's huge.

"Oh Alex." She groaned, she was shaking and I was concerned that her and Brian had a fight. She looked at me, her eye's were so big and there was mascara running down her cheeks.

"Lola?"

"Oh god Alex." She moaned again, sobbing. "Run."

Run? What the fuck was she talking about? "Lola." I exclaimed.

"Alexandria."

I felt my blood run cold and I looked at the back door. He was standing there, with a crazy look in his eye's and worse still, he had a gun.

"Brandon, what are you doing?" I asked, trying to sound calm. "Honestly."

He didn't say anything. He just smiled and that was worse.

"Let Lola leave and we can talk." And then I heard the front door.

"Babe." Matt called. "There's something here for you."

"Leave Matt." I called out, trying to sound calm. "Just go home."

"What." He mumbled. "Alex what the fuck are you talking about?" He said walking in.

God, I wished he'd listened to me. I didn't want him here with Brandon, not when he had a gun, I wanted Matt safe.

"Well glad you joined us." Brandon snapped, raising the gun.

"What the fuck?" Matt said softly under his breath. "What are you doing man?" He said to Brandon.

I was trying to concentrate on what was going on, trying to work out what Brandon was going to do, while Lola sat there crying softly and Matt stood behind me.

"Brandon." I said, hoping I sounded calm. "Let's go somewhere and talk, just you and me." I was trying to look at him, look him in the eye but I was terrified. Matt gently put his hand on my shoulder.

"Fuck that." Brandon snapped. "Let's talk here."

"What are you doing mate." Matt suddenly said. "What is this going to solve?"

"You." Brandon said, raising the gun. "Can shut the fuck up now, and YOU." He yelled at Lola. "Stop that fucking noise." And Lola quickly slapped her hand over her mouth. "Now." He said, walking closer, still pointing the gun at Matt. "You have something that belongs to me and I intend to get it back."

"Of course." I gushed, anything to appease him. "Of course you can."

"SHUT UP ALEX." He screamed and I snapped my mouth shut.

"I don't have anything that belongs to you." Matt said and oh god, oh god I wished he'd shut up.

That infuriated Brandon even more and he stepped closer. "What did you say?" He asked, raising the gun directly at Matt's head.

I groaned, I couldn't help it. This was bad, this whole situation was bad and Brandon was going to hurt somebody and I didn't care who it was as long as it wasn't Matt, I wouldn't let it be Matt.

"Stop." I said to Brandon, taking a step towards him. "Just stop what you're doing."

All I heard next was the explosion of a gunshot and it felt like my ears burst and it had happened so quickly I had absolutely no idea which one of us had been shot. It terrified me. And Lola, her screaming terrified me.
