Alexandria's POV
'Right." Lola said once we'd sat down at the reception centre. "Talk."
I looked at her and took a mouthful of wine. "What about?" Although I knew exactly what she wanted to know.
"Alex." She said. "Matt, you, what happened. I want details."
"I want to hear about your honeymoon." I told her.
"And you will, later, but now, Matt."
"It's not that exciting Lola." I explained. "He came over the night you left, we talked, he stayed with me."
"So he's staying at our place?" She asked.
I nodded. "That's okay isn't it?"
"What, yeah that's fine, but you worked it out, everything's good?"
"Everything is great." I said smiling and glancing up the table at Matt. Everything was wonderful.
'Good, I'm glad." Lola said and I agreed, I was very glad.
We chatted while we ate and I kept looking at Matt. He was talking to Brian and looked like he was enjoying himself, the only bad thing, we weren't sitting together.
I cried during the speeches even though I told myself I wouldn't, it's just that Sarah looked so beautiful and so happy and after this morning's freakout I was happy to see everything had turned out. Zack and Sarah were married, Brian and Lola were married and it made me so happy, seeing my friends happy.
"Ugh." Lola groaned. "We have to fucking dance."
"So?" I asked, standing up, getting ready.
"So, have you seen Brian dance Alex." She whispered as Brian and Matt approached us. "He's fucking hopeless."
I giggled as Matt slipped his arm around my waist and I leant into him as Sarah and Zack began dancing. They looked so beautiful, graceful and happy I couldn't help but cry.
As Matt led me onto the dance floor he pulled me into his arm's and asked me if I was alright. I just told him how beautiful they were and how happy they looked and buried my face in his chest.
He agreed and kissed me softly and I laid my head back on his chest, closing my eye's.
I was thinking about how happy everybody was and how happy I was when Matt leant down and put his lip's to my ear.
"Marry me Alex." He whispered.
I smiled. Matt could be so serious but I loved it when he joked around, it was so cute.
"Of course I will." I said smiling up at him and who knows, maybe one day I would.
"Good." He murmured kissing me again.
I laid my head on his chest and looked around. I decided that if Matt and I did ever get married, I only wanted a small wedding, nothing fancy, besides it wasn't like I had any family anyway, except for these guy's, they were my family now.
The rest of the night was great, all the formalities were over and we could all relax, have a few drink's, dance and just have fun.
I cried when Sarah and Zack left even though I would probably see them tomorrow before they went on their honeymoon, I was an emotional girl, I couldn't help it.
"How are we getting home?" Brian asked us at the end of the night and we decided that seeing as though we were staying at Brian and Lola's, we would all share a taxi.
"How long are you staying at our place?" Brian asked us on the way back to the house.
"We're moving out tomorrow." Matt told him, kissing the top of my head.
"No." Lola groaned. "I'll miss you."
Brian grunted. "Where are you going?"
"My house." Matt told him and I nodded, I was putting my house on the market, I didn't want to go back there again.
"Good idea." Brian said and we remained silent for the rest of the drive home.
When we arrived home we all walked up the path and Brian let us in. We headed into the kitchen and Brian grabbed a beer.
"Want one?" He asked Matt.
Matt shook his head. "Nah, think I might just go to bed." He said looking at me.
"I wouldn't mind a shower." I told him. I desperately wanted to wash my hair.
"I wouldn't mind one too." Matt murmured in my ear and I smiled.
We said our goodnight's and headed into my room. I walked over and sat on the bed, reaching down to take my shoes off.
"Oh." Matt said, walking over to the drawers and opening it. "I have this for you." And he held out a little box to me.
"What is this?" I asked him, shocked although secretly I was pleased that he'd gotten me a gift.
"Oh god Alex." He gushed, sitting down next to me. "I hope you like it, I mean I think it's you, it reminded me of you and I hope the size is right but we can take it back if it's not."
"Okay." I said shaking my head and opening the box.
I stopped and looked at the most beautiful ring I'd ever seen in my life, it was heart shaped and very expensive looking.
"What is this?" I asked softly again, getting it out of the box. I was trying to work out why Matt had gotten me such a beautiful gift.
"It's your engagement ring Alex." He said kissing the side of my head.
"My what?" DID HE SAY ENGAGEMENT RING?
'Engagement ring, remember, I asked you to marry me and you said yes." He said frowning.
I looked at him and burst into tears. He'd been serious when he asked me to marry him.
"You meant it?" I sobbed.
"Alex." He murmured, pulling me into his arm's. "Of course I was serious, I want to marry you, spend the rest of my life with you and I was hoping you felt the same."
"I do." I cried, wiping my face. "I thought you were joking."
He laughed. kissing me. "No, I was deadly serious. Now put the ring on."
I looked down at the ring and slipped it onto my finger. "It fit's perfectly." I whispered.
Matt kissed me softly. "Good."
"We're engaged." I whispered against his lips.
"Yes Alex we are." He murmured. "And before long I plan on being married."
"No long engagement?" I asked softly.
"No long engagement." He agreed and I smiled.
Holy shit, I was getting married and better yet, I was getting married to the guy I was so totally in love with my life was empty without him, but now, now I would have him for the rest of my life, the rest of my fucking life.
