Cress's POV
When we finally pulled apart, I told him some things for the day.
"Thorne, stay out of Cinder's way today," I explained.
"Why?" he asked in his goofy fashion.
"Because she's on a short fuse."
"In other words?"
"She and Kai got in a fight this morning. They're resolving it now I think."
"Ok fine. I needed Cinder today though."
"For what?"
"There's a bit of wiring in here that I can't quite get."
"Then ask Iko. She knows as much as Cinder."
"I wanted Cinder to help, I kinda trust her more with my ship."
"I understand. Well, do you need any help from me?" I asked.
"No, I think I'll be able to do most of it. If you see Cinder, tell her I need her help."
"No problem, Thorne. Well..." I said akwardly.
We just stood there in silence. Very, very akwardly. I couldn't think of anything to say.
Just then, thankfully, a video chat/message appeared on the big screen of the ship. Jacin and Winter appeared on screen.
"Hey, guys," Winter greeted. She left a couple of hours ago to Luna (she had come to stay the weekend).
"Thorne, Cress," Jacin nodded.
"Hey, guys," I said, for both of us.
"What's up?" Thorne asked.
"Lunars are rebelling," Jacin said flatly.
"Jacin!" Winter scolded. "What he means to say," she shot Jacin a look, "is that the Lunars , as a whole, aren't accepting me as their new heir. Handfuls are, but as a nation, no. So they have resorted to rebelling."
"That's terrible!" I exclaimed.
"So what do we do?" Thorne asked, for once sounding more leader-like. I loved it, it was so adorable.
"We would like to hold a meeting," Jacin said.
"Yeah, well be coming tomorrow to talk. Please tell Kai, Cinder, Scarlet, and Wolf. Iko can join too if she would like." Winter informed.
"Aye, aye princess," Thorne saluted.
"Sure thing Winter, assuming Kai and Cinder are in better terms." I said.
"Yeah, see ya," Winter sighed.
"Until we meet again," Jacin waved. I could've sworn he shot a look at Thorne, but I decided to ignore him.
The screen blanked out, leaving a black void where Winter and Jacin were.
"Let's go," I said.
"What's the rush?" Thorne replied, wiggling his eyebrows.
"Ugh, Thorne," I teased, "you know what I mean." Thorne smiled and opened the door.
"After you, my love," Thorne said, like three true gentleman he was.
"Thank you my good captain," I replied.
We split up. I would go to Kai and Cinder, just so Thorne wouldn't cause another World War, not that he would. Thorne went to Scarlet and Wolf, who were currently training.
"Bye Thorne," I said.
"Don't say that," he replied.
"Why not?"
"Because it sounds like we aren't gonna see each other again. Say something else."
"Alright, until we meet again?"
"Sure, that works," he said. He then kissed me before running off.
Ah Thorne, I thought as I ran in the opposite way, you're annoying and stupid, but I still love you.
***Hey guys! How are you liking this?
Does anyone recognize who could also be described as "annoying and stupid, but I still love you?" If you wanna answer, comment!
Thanks and I love you guys!
Andy
***Hint: SHHHHH! It could be another fandom, maybe!***
