The Worst Morning Ever

Cinder's POV

"KAI!!!" I screamed. I jolted upright on my bed, and ended up hitting my head on the top bunk, and sank back down. I forget I was on the bottom.

"Ouch..." I moaned. It hurt so badly, it started throbbing. I heard shuffling in the top bunk: Iko. She jumped of the bunk and fell on the floor.

"Omg, Cinder! Are you alright? How can I help you? Is your head ok? Should I go get Kai?" she asked.

Before I could respond, she rushed out of the room. I chuckled. I loved how she was so concerned about me. That's why she was my best, and only friend, for a very long time before I met my crew aboard the Rampion.

Suddenly I heard a loud crash, probably Kai, and several more softer ones, maybe Iko?

"Cinder, what happened? Are you alright?!" Kai asked just as he swung the door open with full force.

"I'm fine Kai, I just had a nightmare. Levana was in it." I said as a huge BANG echoed throughout the room.

"Tell me about it."

"Wait, what are you taking about. Levana's long gone. We killed her days ago."

"I mean, I've been having a bad day."

"Talk to me, it might help."

"You already know what it is."

"I do? What is it Kai?"

"Forget it. You should already know."

"I'm sorry Kai, I don't." I said through gritted teeth."Why can't you tell me?"

"Just leave me alone, Cinder." He said calmly. He started walking out of the room. I grabbed his arm.

"Kai tell me what's wrong! Please!" I pleaded.

"I told you to leave me alone Cinder!" He yelled back and shook me off. He stormed out of the room.

"Fine!" I yelled back. "Fine..." I whispered when he was gone. Just then Scarlet, Cress, and Winter appeared in the door way.

"What happened Cinder?" asked Scarlet.

"Are you ok?" asked Cress.

Winter didn't say anything, she just knew. We kinda had that 'sisterly bond'. She walked over to me and gave me a hug. Scarlet and Cress realized at the same time and shut up and followed Winter.

I loved my friends and they loved me back.

"Wait," Scarlet said, "Isn't someone missing?"

Just then, Iko ran in.

"Cinder, what happened? I heard yelling and I came as fast as I could. I saw Kai fuming too. Are you ok?" Iko inquired.

"Iko, just come here in our group hug. It'll help Cinder feel better." Cress said. Immediately Iko calmed down and came over to me. Cress had that effect on people, androids too.

"There that's better." Scarlet said as Iko wrapped her metallic arms around me. I couldn't have asked for a better group of friends. They always knew how to make me feel better.

I couldn't take it anymore. My head started throbbing again, reminding me that I would be crying right now, if I could.

It was only 8:00 in the morning, and I was 'crying'.

Oh Kai, I'm so sorry...

***Conflict with Kinder is a great way to start, right? It won't last long don't worry. Anyways, thanks for reading fellow lunartics!
