Oh Stars...A Wedding?!

Winter's POV

"I'll get it," I said.

I walked slowly up to the door and turned the knob. I opened the door and...

"Hey guys, are we late?" Kai asked, with Cinder under his arm.

"Kai, where the hell were you and Cinder?! We were all so worried!" Jacin said. I gave him a weird look, it wasn't like him to curse. He sheepishly looked away.

"Geez, guys, we didn't mean to. We were talking about something. Didn't anyone think of checking in our rooms?" Cinder asked.

Everyone looked down and suddenly became interested in their feet. Thorne spoke up.

"Wait, you guys were 'talking' about?" Thorne asked.

"Well, um..." Kai fumbled.

"What he means to say is that," Cinder started for him, "we were talking, alone, is that a crime?" Everyone kept quiet.

They sat down as something shiny caught my eye. Jacin was talking to Kai.

"As I was saying, Kai we have to-" he was interrupted by me. I stood up and squealed so loud which wasn't like me.

"Omg, Cinder!!! You are wearing a ring!" I squealed with delight. Everyone turned and look at Cinder. She looked shocked, so close to blushing, but I knew she couldn't.

It wasn't like her to wear a ring, unless...

"Well, I guess we can't hide it from them anymore. Guys, we were late because I might have proposed to her." Kai said.

"Yeah, we're getting married!" Cinder continued.

"Yes! I knew it, I knew it, I knew it!" Scarlet screamed, which was not her at all. Everyone said their forms of congrats.

Well, today was a good day. We decided to not do the meeting because this was much more important and it actually went as our plan had been worked out.

The wedding would be held later this month according to the royal couple. It would be big. I was in charge of Lunar invites and Scarlet was in charge of Earth's. Cress would be in charge of the decorations.

Jacin would be in charge of the royal armies, to protect the wedding of course. Wolf would help Scarlet and Jacin. Thorne would help Cress and possibly help me.

Cinder and Kai were bugged by servants, maids, etc. all month long. I didn't know how they could handle it. I could never do that with Jacin.

Cinder's POV

I couldn't believe that the wedding, my wedding, would be held in a week. I was so anxious, nervous excited, scared, and a lot of other emotions I couldn't name.

I was talking with Winter. I revealed to her that she would be my maid of honor. Well l, she's like my step-cousin, I guess. She's the only family I had left. I loved her like a sister though.

"That's unfair," Winter said, out of the blue.

"What is?" I asked.

"You and Kai are getting married, and you can't even get to see each other for even 5 minutes because you get bombarded with company," she said.

"Well, that is true but I just look on the bright side," I replied.

"And what might that be, Ms. Know-it-all?"

"Well, after our marriage, we do get a lot of alone time."

"Yeah," she smirked, "a lot of alone time."

"I didn't mean it like that," I pouted.

"Sure you didn't," she still smirked, exaggerating herself.

"Oh stars, shut up Winter!" I exclaimed. We started laughing and we couldn't stop.

After a while we stopped and composed ourselves like the princesses we were (yeah right).

"You know, I kinda like this. Me and you, just talking like old friends."

"Me too. I love you like my sister, more than the others, no offense to them of course."

"I love you too, Cinder," she hugged me and I hugged her back.

"You know," I said as we pulled away, "I'll be doing this to you too, you know."

"What do you mean?" she asked slyly.

"I mean, soon you'll be getting married too, and I'll have to help you out, like the sister I am," I replied.

"Dear god, Cinder shut up!" she said back. She started blushing so hard, it was funny. I cracked a smile.

"Come on, let's get going, the others will be wondering where we went of to," I said, pushing her out the door.
