Down For The Count

Iko's POV

Before meeting from last chapter...

I really hoped I wasn't late. I ran down the hall to the Meeting Room.

I pushed the heavy door aside to revel a shocking sight. No one was there.

Had the meeting been adjourned? Am I early? Am I late?

Crap. I really should have asked Cinder exactly what time this was at.

I took an empty seat (which was every single seat) and waited.

At first it was just an annoying ticking from the clock.

10 seconds. 50 seconds. 1 minute. 3 minutes. 5 minutes.

Finally, I got tired, which is weird because androids weren't supposed to get tired. I was an exception. I was a programming error. A faulty. A-

Beep. Beep. Beep, the dial tone rang. I had attempted to call Cinder and the blasted thing wouldn't pick up the signal.

Wait.

Two things struck me as odd:

1. I was always supposed to have a signal. I'm an android for crying out loud!

and

2. I am in the castle. I should be getting a signal.

I got really confused. Why wasn't it working?

I sat in silence. It took me about 5 more minutes to stay that way. I started to pace, several thoughts clouding my computer brain thing. I never learned the full name. I made a mental note to ask Cinder later.

I turned on my fan, scared I was going to overheat. I tried to look for clues in the room for evidence if the gang was already here. I heard the door creak. I turned to face my friends.

But someone stopped me. Cold. I felt long slender, robotic fingers on my back.

Huh? Robotic? I thought.

The only person I knew that was partially robotic was Cinder.

Unless...

I struggled to get free but another pair of hands, lunar I think, held my arms in place. Together, they pinned me to the ground.

"Stop it! Get off! Help!" I tried, knowing it was useless.

Beeeeeep. Beeeeeep. It echoed. My circuitry shut down. How did this stranger know where my off button was?!

I was plunged into total darkness, like a never ending abyss.

(Like Tartarus for all you PJO / HOO fans....sorry)
