Chapter Six

Alec's POV

I slowly crawl my way out of the tree, that I was thrown into by Mimic. Ugh that name, it just pisses me off. He threw me into a damn tree,and used my fucking weapon. I'm going to return the favor, if Ignitus and Jace haven't killed him already.

Once I'm out of the tree, I see Grey slowly get up, but I don't see Percival anywhere. He's are badly beaten, almost as bad as me. I hate to admit it but,Mimic kicked our asses. Grey slowly stands up, I slowly walk over to him.

"You OK?" I ask him, as I look for Percival.

"What do you think?" He says, clearly pissed off and also looking for Percival. We hear footsteps.... its Percival and Ignitus and Jace. Who by the way look like they've got their asses kicked as well, especially Ignitus. Me and him both got thrown into a tree, at what seemed full force. Ignitus looks extremely pissed off, he looks at me and I know instantly..... Mimic got away.

"Do I even want to know......what happened?" I ask regretfully.

"Mimic got away.....barely, through. Me and Jace were kicking his ass, until Mimic got knocked down, and caught Jace off guard." He trails off, then adds." Enough talking, we need to get the hell out of here. Now!" He's right we need to get out here, at least to be safe. After all, Mimic was clearly apart of the Empire.

The way he was able to quickly master our magic and use it almost quicker than we were able. He would have needed years and years of training and knowledge of magic in general, to do what he did. And on top of that his combat skills, out did ours...well mine at least. He also has unparalleled strenght and agility, at least from what I can tell. To be honest I didn't last long in the fight with Mimic. Which pisses me off my brothers and I were at the top of the class in the Dragon Slayers Academy, getting our asses kicked like that....really shows how powerful the Empire really is.

"Right.... Mimic was clearly part of the Empire,maybe one of the Emperor's High Guard. Which means his troops are not far behind." I state, they all look at me like, why did you have to point out the obvious. Then I add." We should go off trail considering the Empire is right on our asses?" I suggest.

"That is a very good idea. Ignitus we should go off trail, the Empires troops would be at a disadvantage." Jace states. Ignitus thinks for a moment, before responding.

"Very true..it would put them at a disadvantage, but it would also put us at an disadvantage. We'd be going the long way to the Temple. We would have to go along the mountain side, through Drake Valley. And on top of that climb up the Dragunity Mountain range. Just go down it on the other side, just to have to finally climb Dragonic Mountains to get to the Temple. And that would take ten more days,and that's including today." He says.

"I don't care,Ignitus if we don't take the long way and give ourselves what little advantage we would get....we will all die. With that bastard coming after us, can only mean there's troops right behind him. And they'll keep coming in bigger and bigger qualities. We're taking the long way!" I tell Ignitus, raising my voice.

"No need to raise your voice, Alec." Grey plainly states. While gathering his stuff, along with Jace and Percival. I do the same and so does Ignitus, while I grab my stuff, what little stiff we do have,I prepare myself to get yelled at... Ignitus hates being talked to like he's five.

"Alec, we're taking the long way.....but don't ever talk to me like that again." Ignitus says raising his voice in return, while giving me the look he gives anyone who raises their voice at him. To be honest, I'm scared of Ignitus when he's pissed off. He dominated anyone who pissed him off in the academy.

Within ten minutes, we have left the camp site. Since we are taking the long way to the Temple, its going to take few more days to get to the Temple. My brothers see at as a set back,and I see as time to get over what has happened to us....and time to think about what I'm going to do to the Emperor, once we find his ass.
