Chapter Eight

Grey's POV

"Why didn't we go with them?" Percival asks.

"Because, we do as Ignitus asks, he'd do to us what he did to Alec." I respond. That dumbass should have known not to challenge Ignitus when it comes to fighting an enemy. Out of all the times Alec argues with Ignitus, Alec never wins, and most of the time he has to be carried away....that thought makes me laugh alittle. I can't help it, its funny, how Alec never wins in an argument,and almost never wins in a fight against Ignitus.

Once I get the end of the bridge, I'm relieved that I'm off. That's only because that damn thing looks like its a thousand years old. I drop the bags and my own, and look back Percival is letting Alec down. Both of them walk towards me, Alec walks slower than Percival, even tho Percival is so tired he drags his feet across the floor.

As the two of them reach me, Jace and Ignitus appear from the tree line

"Well hello, whats so funny?" I ask.

"Nothing really, I'm smiling because we aren't alone in this fight." Jace says. I'm speechless and confused beyond belief.

"The soldiers are with a rebel army called the Dragonian Rebellion. They've been fighting the Empire for awhile, and we've been invited to their fortress, high up in the Dragonian Mountains." Ignitus says, clearing my confusion.

"So why aren't we going with them?" Percival asks Ignitus.

"Because we aren't strong enough, and we don't have enough knowledge of our own magic, too defeat the Emperor." Ignitus explains, which infuriates Alec.

"What do you mean by, We ain't strong enough?" Alec exclaims, taking a step towards Ignitus, everyone including me, back away from the explosive two.

"None of us are strong enough to take on the Emperor, especially you!" Ignitus screams.

"Ohh really! I'll show you ready." Alec screams, running at Ignitus. At the last second before Alec gets near Ignitus, Ignitus steps aside. Once Ignitus steps aside, Alec trips and begins to fall down, and before he can fall too far, Ignitus grabs him by the collar of his shirt and brings him back up.

"When I said "none of us are ready" that's including me." Ignitus tells Alec, with the most serious face, as he looks into Alec's eyes. Alec is shocked, after Ignitus lets go of his shirt's collar, he just stands there. I walk to him, as everybody else picks up their bags.

"You OK?" I ask.

"Yeah, I just can't believe that he admitted that he even needed training. I'm shocked, I thought for sure he'd be the only one not to admit he needed help. But it just made our older brother soo much more of an bad ass." Alec looks dead at Ignitus, who is getting ready to make his way up the mountain.

"Everyone eventually needs help, Alec." I explain to him.

"Grey, I....I don't know if I'll ever be ready." He says back beginning to walk towards his stuff, grabbing it as he walks by it, to catch up with him. Alec's words have shocked me, he wasn't like this before the attack happened. Before the attack happened, he was saying that he vowed to one day become stronger than Ignitus. Now he's doubting it, it has to be the recent shock of the attack, that is causing his confidence to drop.

I begin walking, eventually I catch up with my brothers. Soon after I catch we stop, for the night, we're camping in the trees above the path. Just far enough for a fire not to be seen.

"Ignitus? Who's going to get food tonight?" Alec asks.

"Umm...... Percival, go and get  something to eat would you plz... I'll come with you." Ignitus replies. The two of them walk deeper I to the forest.

"What happened with..you know Mimic?" Alec asks Jace, he looks back at Alec. He's clearly debating whether or not to tell, Jace was always the quite but powerful one of us. While Ignitus on the other hand, when he's not pissed he's loud as hell, and all though he is more powerful than all of us combined.

"That's a story best saved for Ignitus to tell." Jace says.

Once Ignitus and Percival get back we eat, while Ignitus explains what happened with Mimic.

"Ok, its been a long day, we need to get some sleep. Nite." Ignitus says, walking away to find a place to sleep. I do the same. Within ten minutes of laying down, I'm asleep.....
