H.O.M.E

Chapter 16

Two days after the incident with Skip and the intruders we are all back at the warehouse. We didn’t get very far in the helicopter before it ran out of fuel so we had to land and continue walking on foot. When we realized that we were close to the neighborhood where the warehouse was Rex suggested that we just head back there to regroup.  Even though Sadie thought that it wasn’t such a smart idea since that was the last place that Mom knew they were. Rex said that he hoped that they came for them again because this time he would be ready. Rex and Spike spent the first day here recuperating from their injuries from the battle since they have to heal normal now. During that time they didn’t really speak to us instead they just stayed in the rooms that they had taken and kept out of sight. After they started to heal a little more that is when they began to train and I could see that they was a fire inside them.

            “So I think I know what that symbol was” Buddy says breaking the silence of us all just sitting around. “I remember doing some research on the Greek alphabet and found out that Alpha and Beta are the first and second letters. What I also remember though is that the last letter is Omega and I am pretty sure that the symbols are the same.”

            “Hmm, well if that is true then Mom must have created those people right after they are created us. Probably as some kind of way to control us or ultimately destroy us” Sadie says.

            “I don’t get a shit who they are or what they are meant to do because I am going to kill all of them and anyone who gets in my way” Rex says with anger in his voice.

            Sadie puts a comforting hand on his shoulder,” Rex I know that you are upset about what they did to Skip, I am too. But you can’t just go in there guns blazing because if you do that there is no way that you are going to survive. Especially since you and Spike are still recovering I think that we all just need to think this whole thing out and make a plan.”

            Rex just slumps his head down,” your right, so what is the plan?”

            “Well we should probably stay here for a little bit longer so that you guys can get back to 100%. After that happens I think we should wait one night and march into H.O.M.E and not only destroy these “Omegas” but also Mom” Sadie says totally throwing me off with the last part.

            “Why do you even think that they are at H.O.M.E?” Spike says will a judgmental tone.

            “We have been here for two days now and they haven’t come here to attack us even though Mom knows fully well that we have been here before. So I think that she is expecting us to attack H.O.M.E and she has her new pets close by her for protection.”

            “Okay so if they are there and we are planning this attack what are we going to do about Rocky and Daisy?”

            “I think that all we will have to do is tell them what happened with Skip and they will be more than eager to join us” Buddy chimes in.

            I shake my head because I know that Buddy just really wants to have Daisy on our team but I keep silent because it doesn’t seem right to crush his hopes.

            “Okay well even if they do join us that might not be enough to take on the Omegas so let’s figure out some ways we can take them out” Sadie says grabbing the notebook from last time. “Rex you were fighting with the leader most of the time so why don’t you tell us about him and his powers.”

            “Well we all saw how he had that protective layer of metal over his body and that made him hard to hurt. It also made him very strong and every hit had a lot of power behind it even when I was in my Trex form. Even though he is a big guy I think our best bet is to attack him when he is in his regular form.”
