All day Salecia was bombarded with  birthday texts from basically everyone she knew.  She was slightly alarmed at Ashati's text. She hated parties with a passion. Especially the ones where was the centre of attention. At least at Christopher's party she could blend into the crowd. Christopher wasn't really the sociable type but he was nice enough to those that were invited. They were similar in that way. Social interaction was the bane of their exsistance.

Salecia's lazy morning thoughts were interrupted by Celine and Ashati entering her room.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" They yelled in chorus.

"I know it isn't much, but we saved everything for the party." Celine smiled.

"It's true. There's going to be streamers, balloons and even D-"

"Shut up!" Celine said in a hushed manner as she nudged Ashanti's shoulder.

"Oh right. Sorry." Ashanti apologised as she shot Salecia an apologetic glance.

Salecia took the triple chocolate cupcake in her hand - her favourite - and blew out the candle that said 20. They all laughed and basically suffocated Salecia with the force of their hugs.

"Thanks you guys, but can I breathe now?" Salecia half laughed.

"Nope." Celine laughed back.

"Oh, I almost forgot. Christopher said for me to give this to you." Ashanti said as she presented a light blue slender rectangular box that read Tiffany on the top.

"Woah, Tiffany jewelry. I better tell Brendon to up his game." Celine joked.

"Well. What are you waiting for? Open it!" Ashanti said with her usual amount of excitement.

Salecia pulled the end of the white ribbon so that the immaculate bow would fall out of place. She lifted the lid at marveled at what was encased in the packaging. She gasped subconsiously and held her gift in her hand carefully. It was a dainty gold bracelet with a thin circular pendent. On the back it read; 'if you don't imagine, nothing ever happens at all.'  On the front it read; Q&M. Salecia laughed at their inside joke.

"I love it." Salecia whispered.

"He thought you would." Celine chuckled softly at her friend's love for her gift.

"Do you want me help you put it on?" Ashati asked, practically reading her mind.

"Please."

"Okay. All..Done." 

"I've only been awake an hour and this birthday has been amazing."

"If you think this is good, just wait till' the party." Ashanti squealed.

"Do we really have to do that." Salecia groaned.

"Uh yeah." Ashanti said looking at Salecia as if she was crazy. "It's you 20th we have to do something big."

"Whatever." Salecia said shooing them out ouf the room. "Birthday princess needs to get ready now."
