Is it bad to say that I think the best part of this trip is going to be this plane ride?
Yeah, that sounds pretty bad.
But hecky, do I care? No! Because Adelaide Chastain, a literal angel from heaven, has just fallen asleep on my shoulder.
Just know it's safe to say I'm fangirling (no shame).
I almost feel it necessary to pull down a breathing mask. I'm hyperventilating. Need oxygen.
Pretty girl asleep on my shoulder, breathing softly like a little kid, hand curled around my arm.
My boy brain is screaming GIRL GIRL OMG OMG GIRL ASDFGJKL FORREST GOT THE BAE HECKS TO THE YESSERS LIKE LOL HEHE UNICORNS. (That moment when you realize your mom should have taken you to a mental hospital a long time ago).
I take a deep breath and collect myself, glancing down at her way too much in a time span of five minutes.
She's just so... pretty.
And I'm so... weird.
Trying not to disturb her sleeping form I reach into my back pack and pull out my sketch book, and a pencil.
Drawing is a hobby of mine you could say. I'm pretty decent at it I guess. Mom says I blow the socks off of Van Gogh (what the heck mom).
But I say that's crazy and totally not true. I dabble in the artistic world.
I look down at Adelaide's blonde head and begin to sketch her, the outline of her face, her nose, her cheekbones,
Stunning.
Adelaide's eyes flutter and she sighs in her sleep. I decide to draw that too,
The way her eyelids curve and fall like a blanket over her eyes. Everything about that image makes me want to melt.
Let's just say I really like this girl. A lot. And she probably thinks I'm super creepy.
When I finish the sketch of sleeping Adelaide I too sigh, and put my sketchbook away, then look out the window at the pink sky,
Sun setting into clouds of purple and red.
Adelaide makes the cutest almost inaudible noise. I smile.
My eyes soon grow heavy, and Adelaide curls into my chest as I fall into sleep with her.
I can only hope this won't be the last time I feel her pressed against me.
