Chapter 7

Pete's POV

I woke up the next morning being jumped on by my little sister, Jessica. "Wake up! Wake up bubby!! Mommy has breakfast ready!!" Then she jumped off and ran out of my room.

I stretched and got up out of bed and went to the bathroom and took a shower. After my shower, I went downstairs for breakfast. I walked behind her and gave her a hug.

"Good morning, sweetie," Mom greeted me. "Sit down and I'll bring you a plate."

I walked over to the table and sat down on the opposite side of the table from my sister. "Mornin, squirt. Thanks for the note you left in my room. I got the day off. What you want to do?"

Before I could finish my sentence, she jumped up squealing excitedly. "I want to go to the park!! Can I ride your wolf to?! As long as he don't care, if he says I can't ride him that's okay but I want to cuddle with him and watch Frozen! Please!" As she clapped her hands together and kept jumping up and down.

I laughed at her excited expression. 'You hear her, Victor? You can answe her if you like," I asked him.

Victor stirred. 'I hear the young pup. I'll answer her just give me a sec to wake up.'

I nodded, then turned to Jessica, "He will answer for you, squirt." I then felt that he was ready.

I closed my eyes and felt him take over slightly. I knew when my eyes opened they would be golden. 'Hello, young pup.' A deep voice answered. 'I don't think a ride would be good today. I wouldn't mind cuddling up to you in the living room, as long as your mother don't mind me being in there. I'm going to give your brother back control now, make sure you behave, young pup."

With that I felt control come back to me. I opened my now normal green eyes to see my smiling sister. I smiled back as a plate of food got put in front of me. I immediately dug in.

After eating, I told Jess to go get ready to go to the park for about an hour and to put ten nis shoes on because we were gonna walk. About 10 minutes later she came running down the stairs, ready to go with a grin.

We got to the park about 15 minutes later. Jess ran off to go to the slides and swings. I sat down on a near by bench to watch her.

About an hour later, I got up to get Jess off a swing. "Come on, kiddo. Time to go home." I said, holding out my hand to her. I was rewarded with a frown.

"It can't be an hour yet! I still haven't gotten on the big slide," she gave me her puppy dog eyes.

I laughed at her, "Then quickly go slide down the big slide. Remember you got a movie to watch with someone," I winked at her. This caused a big grin to come across her face. She dashed off with a squeal to the big slide. I stood there waiting for her to come down off the slide.

After she slide down, we walked home in silence. As we walked into the house, I seen a not me form mom on the counter. I picked it up as Jess ran to grab the movie.

"Dear Pete, please clean up the living room after the movie. Move the furniture so your bulk doesn't mess anything up. I am going to the store for some groceries may be gone for a'couple hours. I love you both. Give little one hugs and kisses for me. Love, mom."

I smiled and walked into the living room. I listened for where Jess was, she was still in her room looking for the movie, if the noise in her room meant anything. I started moving everything around so I had enough room for my wolf. After everything was moved, I undressed and shifted into my wolf.

At that time I heard Jess coming down the stairs. I turned my giant head toward her and grinned at her.

"Hey, Victor!" She squealed. I sneezed at her and turned back toward the tv. "I am happy he let me cuddle up to him. I miss his soft fur. She pet my muzzle as she walked by. I whined at her. She out the movie in and cuddled up next to me.

Two hours later

'Peter,' Alpha Mejia mind linked me. 'I need you to come to my office I need to have you do something for me.'

'One moment, alpha. My sister is cuddled up asleep on me. Got to put her to bed and clean up the house so mom doesn't get mad at me,' I replied. 'I'll explain when I get there if this is alright with you?' I asked him.

It took a moment but the answer came with a chuckle, 'Alright, Pete. I told your mother I needed you when your done. She should be there soon. She asked for help form my son with groceries.'

'See you soon, sir,' I replied. I turned my head to look at my sister who was asleep. I slowly moved out from under her. I grabbed my clothes in my mouth and moved to the hallway to shift.

After I put my clothes on, I picked Jess up to out her in her bed. As I walked up the stairs to our her to bed, I heard the key go into the lock and smelled the future alpha and my mom. I put Jess to bed and closed her door.

"Hey, Mom. Hey, Zack," I greeted, "I'm gonna clean the living room then leave. Jess is asleep, I put her to bed," I told her, then headed to the living room to put everything back where it belongs.

After I cleaned up the floor, Zack came in to help me move the couch and recliners. After moving it I looked at him and said, "Thanks, man. It was a pain moving them by myself earlier. Mom done with groceries? I need to go see your dad."

"Yea that's why I came in here and helped you. We can walk together. I got to talk to him so might as well go with ya," he replied.

"Bye, mom! Be back soon," I talk her as we walked past the kitchen and outside the front door. I looked at Zack to see him fidgeting nervously. "What's wrong?"

He looked at me startled. "That obvious huh? Well I got a surprise for him and mom's anniversary. Got them tickets to go to Hawaii for a week." He grinned. "Moms gonna be so excited I can't wait to tell them both. Just go to wait I'll after you two have a talk. Do you know what it's about yet or he being mysterious?"

I shook my head, "Don't know. I guess I'll find out when I get to his office," I stopped and looked up at the pack house. "Something tells me it's going to be important." I continued walking.

Zack sighed, "Well we are about to find out." He grinned, "Maybe he is going to send you to find your mate or for some more fighting skills? I like to try to guess and speculate what goes through his head. One day I'll be in his place leading this pack. I hope I'm going to be as wise and alpha as him and as strong as Alpha Moore."

I smiled at him as we walked though the front door. "Alpha Moore is awesome. I got to meet his family. Apparently, his daughter beat him in a fight. He couldn't stop talking about it to Alpha Mejia," we stopped at the office door. "Well time to see what he needs. See ya later, Zack." I stuck my hand out to him.

"Later, Pete. Oh, and good luck!" He shook my hand and left. I turned to the door and sighed. I lifted my hand and knocked.

Little did I know, my life was going to be changed forever.
