So this chapter takes place right before Erika finds the prophesy written on the wall. Hope you enjoy Cam's POV.
She walks into the dining room and I know that Gordon is going to tell her that we're leaving for a few hours. I watch her as she loads up her plate with fruit and I wonder if her skin would taste sweet.
I shake my head wondering where that thought came from. I go back to eating my food and when Erika sits down, Gordon finally speaks.
"Erika, Cam and I have to leave for a few hours. Sophie will be staying in her room. Will you be alright on your own?" Gordon asks.
I look up to see her reaction and she looks pissed. "I'll be fine. You don't have to worry about me." For some reason her little outburst amused me and I smirk right before she looks at me. She didn't mention it, just went back to eating her pineapple.
"So what are you doing for the next few hours?" She asks, I knew that her curiosity was taking over and she reminded me of a child.
"We are going to get rid of the pirates." I tell her glaring at my plate, remembering the conversation I had with Sophie. "I recently heard some news and I am going to be rounding them up and shipping them off to the deep sea."
"Do you want any help?" She asks and I'm taken off guard. Why would she want to help get rid of the pirates? I knew she had a change of heart towards them but I didn't know she wanted them gone as much I did.
"No, I think we will be fine. But, thanks." I say, looking at her.
I noticed Gordon looking at Erica's wrists.
"Have you ever thought about practicing?" Gordon asked.
Erika looked at him with shock. "Is it possible to practice?"
"Of course, how else are you supposed to use it on demand?" Gordon asked. "I'm sure Cam would help you out if you needed."
Erika looked at me for confirmation and it didn't go unnoticed by Gordon. As I looked at her I figured it wouldn't hurt to show her that I had the same power as she did, at least one anyway. I snapped my fingers, finding myself wanting to show off to her and fire appeared just above my hand.
She looked at me in amazement then she attempted to do it and nothing happened.
"It takes some practice, you can't use it on demand yet." Gordon said.
Erika nodded and just continued to stare at her hand in amazement, like she didn't know what she was capable of.
Finishing my breakfast, I stand from the table and notice that Gordon stands at the same time. He had obviously been waiting for me to finish so we could leave. We said our goodbye's to Erika, telling her we would be back in a few hours, and head out the front door.
I start to feel uneasy and the air starts to change around us. As we walk towards the town, I see a few pirates and gave them a deadly look that made them turn around and head for the ship in a hurry. I just continue to walk, glaring at every pirate I come across and each time they run towards the shore to the ship.
You could hear thunder in the sky, indicating anger and the towns people started heading inside assuming a storm is coming. I continue walking with Gordon by my side.
"Any idea where you're going to send them?" he asks me and I shake my head.
"Mind if I pick a spot?" he asks.
"No." I growl out.
We continue walking and I know that Gordon is thinking about the perfect place to send the pirates and there ship.
As we walk, I could feel the wind picking up. Most of the town's people had vacated the street. I was looking for one person in particular and I knew he is still in the village.
"I see ye are in a bad mood, eh mate?" Logan's voice comes from behind me. Hearing him talk so causally had me wanting to rip him to shreds. He's lucky it's not night.
"Leave Pandora Logan." I said in the calmest tone I could muster.
"And leave Erika with you? I don't think so mate." He said with a smirk.
I growled at him and made the wind pick up.
"You either leave willingly or I'll make you." I threaten making the wind pick up a little more.
I can hear Logan's laugh as the wind whips around him.
"What about thee prophesy?" he asks and I glare at him. "I'm part of it just as much as you are mate." Why did he always have to remind me? "She could choose me." He yells over the wind so I would clearly hear him. I clinch my fists together. I didn't want the prophecy to come true, but I defiantly didn't want to see Erika in the hands of this pirate.
"What makes you think she would after what you have done?" I ask as I made the wind push him towards the shore, towards his ship and towards the sea in which he will soon be in the middle of.
"When you tell her of the prophecy, who's to say she won't come runnin' to me huh? You can't keep the truth from her mate. And when she finds out she will want someone who will answer her questions-"
"I will answer her questions!" I yell making the wind pick him off the ground. "When the time comes and when I am ready to tell her about it."
Logan laughed. "What if that's sooner than yee think mate? Time will tell now wont it?" he asks, smiling that devil smile he so often wears.
The wind had finally pushed him to the sand of the shore. It was time to get rid of him. I make the wind pick up more, lifting Logan completely off the ground. The wind carries him to his ship, as soon as he's over top of it, I make the wind disappear letting him fall on the ship.
Logan gets up and looks at me with a murderous gaze. "She will be mine! I'll be back mate!" he yells from his ship and the wind picks up his voice and carries it to my ears.
"I hope that time is far away." I said letting the wind take my voice with it and when it reaches the captains ears, I create a giant wave to take the ship out to sea. The ship that holds the captain and his crew slowly disappears.
"Guess you didn't want a destination then." Gordon said from beside me. I grunt and turn around back to the house.
As I walk, I can hear Gordon keeping pace. "So what are we going to do now? The excitement for the day is gone." He says. I didn't bother to answer I just wanted to get back to the house and back to an area where Erika would be.
When we walked through the door, I still couldn't find it in me to relax. Why wasn't I able to calm down?
"I'm going to watch TV in the living room." Gordon says walking down the hall. I decide I would go up to my room and just try and relax.
I climb the stairs and feel as if something is off. When I reach the top of the stairs I notice my bedroom door is open. I didn't think I left it open. I walk to the door and push it fully open to find Erika standing in front of the prophecy.
