Erika's POV

Darkness surrounds me but some of my senses are active. I could hear the sound of waves hitting the shoreline and a soft breeze plays with the leaves in the trees.

"Why did you bring her here?" A deep, yet sexy voice spoke angrily. I couldn't open my eyes, no matter how hard I try. I feel a hard surface under my back and shuffling of feet around me.

"I had no choice, Sophie offered and the girl seemed desperate." Another voice spoke, hesitant but sure.

"Then make sure she doesn't know or find anything!" the deep voice commands. I try hard to concentrate but it becomes difficult as I try to register what is said.

"But she already knows." A child's voice says.

"Does she now?" The sexy voice asks.

"Not everything." Gordon replies.

"Keep it that way." The deep voice spoke firmly before I drift back into the darkness.

A silhouette of a man stands before me, surrounded by trees on top of a large cliff. The light from the moon shines down on me, while the man stays in the shadows covered by the darkness. The wind blows as I watch him, rustling the trees and making the leaves crinkle in the night. The shadowed man looks up at the moon.

Is he waiting for something?

I continue to watch him with a strange feeling that I've seen him before. The shape of the man is tall and muscular. He bends down on one knee in pain before he morphs into a large dark creature. The creature charges toward me and reaches out towards me. I panic and sit up in a bed gasping for air.

It's just a dream. Breathing in and out, I try to calm my raising heart.

I look around and notice I'm in a bedroom. How did I get here?

The last thing I remember is the storm and hitting my head against the railing of the boat. I'm sitting on a large bed that faces an even larger window that's covered by white curtains. I get up and move the curtains to find a beautiful view of the ocean. Where am I?

My bags are sitting beside a cream-colored chair in the corner of the room. Dark, brown doors are spread out around the room, two on the right and one on the left. White nightstands sit on each side of the bed, one with flowers and the other has a clock. The walls are painted white and the bed's comforter is the same shade.

I remember the storm that we were in and quickly check my electronics. Worry creeps in that they'll be ruined but it all seems to be dry. Were we really in the middle of a storm or was that just my imagination? There's a soft knock on the door and Sophie peaks her head around the corner.

"Good morning." I say and it seems to startle her. She nods, making her shoulder-length black hair move with her head.

"How are you this morning Erika?" She asks softly.

"I'm good Sophie." I pause closing my bag. I stand up and look at her still standing at the door, not crossing the threshold. "You can come in if you want." I tell her and she skips into the room with a grin on her face. I notice the pink dress she had on earlier has now changed to a white one.

"Was the boat ride real, Sophie?" I ask, wondering if it was all my imagination.

She looks at me with a strange expression on her face. "Of course it was." she pauses. "You really don't remember?"

I shook my head. "I'll go get Cam, you hit your head harder then he thought." She heads towards the door.

"No!" I grab her shoulder to stop her, "I remember the boat and the storm." I quickly say.
