Cams POV

I watch as she rode off into the distance. I still couldn't believe she said the words that set me free. But it's a relief knowing that her words are true and that I'll never have to change again.

I turn around to head back to the house but stop short. A few feet in front of me stands the one person I thought would be long gone by now. Allura.

"What do you know Allura?" I question knowing the witch always knows something.

"Logan's on his way. Be prepared." she says before disappearing.

Shit.

I run back to the house as fast as I can. With no powers that meant that Logan would finally get the fight that he wants.

Busting through the front door, I run to my room. I head towards the large closet and open the glass case that lay on the floor. Pulling out the sword that's been passed down through the generations.

It will be a fight that the captain wants and it will be a fight that the captain gets.

"Cam?" Sophie questions from the staircase.

"Yes, Sophie?"

"What are you doing?" she questions.

"Logan and his ship are on the way." I respond, whipping the blade.

Sophie gasps and runs out the closet to the room and opens that large door to the balcony. "Cam." She says with worry. "They're here."

He will not get my crown!

Remembering the conversation I had with Logan so long ago flashes through my mind "Ye know one day, when the darn curse is broken, I will have your thrown and everything that comes with it." Logan had said with vengeance in every word. It had happened so many years ago, years before Erika was even born.

"I'd like to see you try, Captain." I had said before I sent him into the middle of the ocean, on the other side of the world. Just like I'd done so many times after that, after the day we became enemies.

I looked at Sophie. "They aren't staying." I said firmly, gripping the sword in my hand and walking out of the room and out of the house.

Time to finish this.

***

Standing on the shoreline watching as the ship nears, I wonder if I can actually fight him. I haven't held a sword in so long. I've never needed it. Holding the medieval noble sword that's been passed down through the family for generations I wonder what it would've been like to never have been born into the life I was given.

While deep in thought, I notice a small boat heading towards shore with three passengers. The captain being one of them no doubt.

When the boat reaches shore the smug looking Captain hops out of the boat. "So I see the curse has been broken. Where is my beautiful prize? I shall want her by my side when I win." He looks around before looking back at me. "Oh right, she left you. Did you say your last goodbye?" he asks with a smug look on his face.

"What makes you think you can beat me?" I question.

Logan laughs. "It's finally a fair fight. You have no powers. Just sword against sword, one man's strength against another's." He says pulling out his sword from his belt. The typical pirate sword that curves at the end. "Now that it's an even fight, may the best man win." he says before charging at me with his sword.

Fighting Logan with a sword was like second nature, just like riding a bike. You always remember once taught. I easily dodged his stabs and swipes he made with the sword and was able to get a few blocks and swings of my own. We danced the forbidden dance, where if you're out of sync just once everything could be deadly. Concentration is key.

While Logan continues with his usual moves that I've been blocking since we started, I side stepped and turn so we were facing the same way and jabbed my elbow into his face knocking him off balance and taking him by surprise. He stumbled backwards and I kicked him in the chest and he fell to the floor. My sword finding its way to the base of his throat.

"Cam!" A familiar voice that I didn't expect to hear yelled from behind me. I turned to see if it was really her, thinking my ears are playing tricks on me.

"Looks like she's just in time." Logan sneers from behind me.
