Erika's POV

Over the last week I've noticed that the pirates weren't allowed in the house, besides the captain. All week, at Cam's request, I stayed away from the pirates. Cam said something about them not being nice and blah, blah, blah. In all honesty, they kind of scared me but part of me wants to know about that captain.

Walking down the hallway from my bedroom, I see the captain leaning against the banister. He's wearing a white shirt and black leather pants with the same color boots. I look at him and he has a smug smile plastered across his face.

I get the feeling that I shouldn't trust him. "Erika." He nods as I walk closer.

"Captain." Nodding back as I walk past him.

He reaches out and grabs my arm, making me stop. "Please, call me Logan." He said and I glance into his grey eyes.

"Logan." I confirm and he smirks down at me. He lets go of my arm and crosses his arms over his broad chest. Thinking that the conversation is over, I start walking towards the dining hall. I can hear Logan's footsteps behind me, following me.

"Aren't you going to stick around and talk to me?" I could almost hear the pout in his question and yet I knew he had a smirk on his face without even turning around.

"No." I replied.

"And why not? Afraid I'll tell you a ghost story?" he pauses. "Or did dear ol Cam tell ye to stay away from me?" I stopped dead in my tracks. "Aye, it was the first one, wasn't it?" And I knew if I turned around, he would have a glint of amusement in his eyes. I heard him chuckle to himself.

"What's so funny?" I ask turning around and finding a stupid smile on his face.

"Well, ye relationship." He replies leaning against the wall.

"What relationship?" I question, knowing I'd only get more riddles from the stupid pirate. But I couldn't help wondering what Logan's talking about.

"Thee ol brute has a heart after all," he chuckles, "a heart of gold, Milady." He says shaking his head and walking towards the door. I shake my head wondering what he meant.

I walk into the dining hall and grab breakfast. When I sit down at the table, Cam walks in looking like he's been hit by a train. His hair is all over the place like he's been running his hands through his hair. His shirt looks ripped and dirty. He's also barefoot and it doesn't seem like he's noticed me sitting at the table.

"What happened to you?" I question, deciding to make my presence known.

He jumps, obviously startled and then he turns and sends me the usual glare. "Don't sneak up on me." he grumbles in a low tone that seems to send shivers down my spine.

"Sorry." I mumble lowly, unsure of myself and wondering why he affects me in such a way.

He grumbles something that I can't hear as he fills his plate with food and walks out the room, taking the plate with him.

After eating, I take a walk into the small town. I realize that the longer I stay on the island the less I remember why I'm here. Knowing I should get back to work, I think about what I need to do.

I need to figure out the island and its secrets, so what better way to do that then observe the locals and see where that gets me. I know I won't find much, but if I ever want to leave, I have to get more information about this island.

When I reach the town, I lean against a brick wall and just watch the people as they walk by. They still know that I'm an outsider and that I'm not to be trusted.

"See anything ye like?" I knew that voice and somehow, it's starting to get on my nerves.

"Nope." I respond and continue watching the town's people. I can feel Logan glance at me and then stare off into the distance and then back to me.

"What do ye know about Pandora?" he asks suddenly and I look at him wondering where he's going with this.

"I know about the legends of course."

He looks down at me and smirks "And what are the legends, lass?"

He wants me to tell him what I know. I wonder if he would know anything about Pandora's secrets. Would he even help me with my theories?

He's a damn pirate, of course he wont help; not without something in return, I'm sure. "Well, one says that the island and it's people are cursed."

"Cursed ye say?" he asks, chuckling. It almost sounds like he doesn't believe me and yet there something in his voice that tells me otherwise.

I turn to face him. "Alright, pirate, what do you know?" I ask, looking at his eyes.

He smirks, "What makes yee think I know anything?" he asks. I hate how he suddenly decides to play innocent. He's irritating to no end.

He knows something and yet he's taunting me.

I glare at him and he smiles with his straight, white teeth. "Well, I could tell you some of what I know, just to keep ye wheels turnin." He pauses, waiting for an answer from me. I just stand there staring at him, waiting for him to continue. "By now, I'm sure you know that Pandora can only be found by Pandorians."

"Pandorians? As in the locals?" I question, not understanding his terminology for the people.

"No lass, the locals are completely different from Pandorians."

"Are you a Pandorian?"

"No." he tells me, watching the people as they walk by.

"So, how are you able to find the island?" I wonder.

"Pandora is special. It will appear only to those it wants to appear too. Sometimes I think I stumbled upon it by accident, but I can always find it when I need too." He says as he looks off into the distance, like he's remembering something from his past.

I decide to take the information and store it in my mind for later. I would have to ask either Cam or Gordon about the difference between locals and Pandorians.

"What can you tell me about the tattoo's?" I question.

He looks at me with a shocked expression before saying, "Thee tattoo's will have to wait for another time lass." He says looking over my shoulder.

"Why?" I whine, wondering why he isn't going to tell me.

"We've got trouble." He nods behind me. I turn and find Cam standing a few feet away from me.

I can see the anger on his face and I know he's pissed. "Did I not tell you to stay away from the pirates?"

"I-uh-I-." I couldn't think of a good enough excuse. In all honesty, I'd never seen him this angry and it kind of frightened me, making my mouth unmovable.

Dark clouds start forming in the sky. As I look at Cam, I can hear Logan's boots shuffle on the gravel as he tries to back away.

"Not another step, Logan. You're next." Cam glares at him before focusing back on me. "Go back to the house Erika." Cam demands and I didn't have to be told twice.

As I walk back to the house, I notice the clouds slowly departing.

Logan's POV

"Uh, any chance I could go to mate?" I ask and get a growl from Cam.

"Stay away from her." He demands.

"We were just talkin mate, nothing more. You need to calm down." I tell him and he grunts, turning around and walking away.

I watch as Cam walks away. It's strange how he can't control it, usually he's good at keeping his anger at bay. It probably has something to do with that girl.

Yee has no idea what I've got planned mate. I'm in the prophecy just as much as yee.

I notice John walking towards me and I knew he's waiting for my order.

"Keep a look out. She has to come out sooner or later." I command, knowing that he can't keep her locked up forever.
