Louis POV
To say that I was surprised when I got the invitation from Harry to join him and Gemma for dinner would be an understatement. It's great that Harry would still want to be around me, but it's unfortunate given the circumstances. I am still very in love with him, and he will never think of me as anything other than a friend.
For the last couple of days, I had tried so hard to get the lad off of my mind. I visited my family, I went out with Liam, I tried anything and everything. I guess my next best option is time. But I'm not exactly sure that time will change Harry constantly being on my mind. Based off of how far I am, I don't know if anything can't
Ever since Harry returned into my life, I find that I am bending over backwards to get his attention. I would do anything if it meant getting to hear a sentence leave his mouth. So if having to spend dinner with him and Gemma allows me to do so, then so be it.
I never could be able to explain to people my feelings for Harry. Yes, I love him to pieces, but there's so much more. Harry and I go way back. We got along, and I always felt the need to protect him, even if I am only two years older. We would joke, and would share our deepest secrets with one another. I almost felt bad for being friends with his sister, knowing that he was telling me things about himself that she hadn't even known. So no, the feelings I had and have for Harry will never go away, because he played such an important role in my life, and I don't think someone like that can be replaced only because we spent some time apart.
As I knock on Gemma's door, waiting for it to be opened, I think about how big of an impact Harry had on me all of these years. I feel a smile form its way into my face as the door opens, revealing a tall, lanky body with a mop of curls.
I can try and hide my feelings from him, if that results in him being apart of my life once again.

After eating about three boxes of pizza, Harry, Gemma and I decided to play some sort of game, instead of watching a movie so that we wouldn't get tired. Harry suggested Headbandz, some game I was completely unaware of, so that's how we all three ended up sitting on the floor of Gemma's living room, lifting cards up to our foreheads. I guess you're supposed to attach the card to a headband-like thing, but we couldn't find them."Am I an animal?" I question slash shout, getting overly frustrated with this game.
"Louis, we told you last fucking round that you're an object," Harry laughs, shaking his head in disapproval. I let out a small, "oops," and then turn my head in Gemma's direction, trying to hide my blush from Harry's direction.
"Alright, so I'm an animal that you can find at the zoo, right?" Gemma asks, reminding herself of the clues we had given her. Harry and I both nod in unison.
"Um, a zebra?" She asks, causing my chin to nearly hit the ground.
"No fucking way did you guess that on your first try!" I shout, standing up while pointing a finger in her direction.
"Wo, wo, woooooo," she says, holding her hands up in defense, "It's not my fault that ima pro," she says with a smirk, making me roll my eyes in response.
"Well, I guess I better get going, before I get my dignity taken away," I say, motioning towards the door.
"Alright," Gemma laughs, standing up next to me. Harry stands as well, but he walks away into the other room. Weird.
"Thanks Gems," I say, leaning in to wrap her in a hug. We stay like this for a couple moments, the hug not being awkward at all. We separate once we hear a small cough coming from behind us.
