Louis POV
"Louis, I'm super proud of you," my mum says, engulfing me into a large hug. I drape my arms around her figure, and breathe in her sweet scent.
"I'm proud of myself, too, if we're being quite honest," I chuckle, slowly pulling away from her, but keeping my hands on her shoulders. She smiles up at me, and leans in to give me a quick kiss on the cheek, which I smile into. It's only been close to a month since I've last seen my mum, but it feels as though it could've been years. I grew up a momma's boy, I still am one, and there's nothing wrong with it. She raised me, and was always there for me when I needed her support. She helped me find confidence in my sexuality, and treated me no different through it all.
"When's the first day?" She questions with a smile on her face. She's always known that I've wanted to become a drama teacher, and she knows the reasons behind it as well. Without the arts, I don't know where I'd be, possibly not even here. I know that her and I are both very grateful for the program.
"School starts the twenty sixth of August," I start, pausing once I start walking throughout the place, "But I'm going to start a couple weeks before. I still need a proper walk through around the school, and get my room all ready," I explain, and mum nods in understanding.
"Where are the girls?" I question, slowly starting to walk around the place I still call home. I look around, and stare at the familiar paintings on the wall, or the photos of our family in picture frames scattered throughout the place.
"The twins are in their room. Probably doing their homework I presume," She replies, with a hint of sarcasm near the end. I laugh, and follow her in the direction of Daisy and Phoebe's room.
Mum knocks on their door quietly before pushing it open, revealing the two girls seated criss-crossed on the floor with a pair of dolls in each of their hands.
Both of their heads snap up as soon as they notice their mother standing in the doorway, with me tucked behind her.
"Girls! I've got a surprise for you," mum says, stepping to the side, revealing myself.
I watch as they throw their dolls on the ground, and bolt into my direction, "Louis!" They both cheer, tackling me onto the ground. I smile at all of the attention, and how much they must've missed me. I sure know I've missed them a whole lot.
"Hello loves," I smile genuinely, regaining my balance from having been just thrown onto the ground, "I've missed you both so so so so much!" I shout, squatting down to their level, peppering both of their faces with kisses.
"We've missed you too," they say in unison, causing a laugh to escape my mouth, "I'm glad to hear it," I say with a firm nod. I grab Phoebe with both hands, and turn around so the Daisy can hop on my back. "Where are your sisters?" I question, turning my head slightly so that I can look Daisy in the eyes.
"Both of them are sleeping, and it's almost twelve!" She exclaims, and I shake my head in disappointment.
"How dare they," I reply, making my way down the hall to Fizzy's room. I set both the girls down, and walk into the bedroom, seeing a sleeping figure in the bed. I internally chuckle at how messy her long, brown hair is, and am grateful that I don't have to put forth much effort with my hair.
