Louis POV
Alright. I need a tie, wait, do people still wear ties? Nah, I'll settle on a nice shirt with jeans. Is that too casual? Shit!
"Liam!" I shout, scrambling around my room in desperate need of an outfit to wear. I know what to expect by calling out for Liam's help, since he had suggested I get everything ready for this morning.
I get no response from him, so I decide to take matters into my own hands, and trudge my way down the hall into his room. "Liam?" I ask gently, not wanting to piss him off this early in the morning. At St. James, their first bell rings at eight o'clock, so I decided it would be best to leave a little after seven, arriving at half after.
"Shit, Lou ... What time is it?" Liam questions with a low voice, obviously due to the fact he just woke up. Seeing his eyes all scrunched together, slowly trying to adjust to the lightness of his room, makes me feel a little bad for waking him up so early ....
But only a little.
"Liam! I need help with my outfit for today," I pout, sitting down on the edge of his bed. The reaction I was expecting from Liam definitely isn't the one I received. I feel his body slowly shift from under the covers, and the next thing I know he's draping his arms around my shoulders.
"Louis, you are over reacting," he says calmly, "Don't over react about what outfit to wear, because then everything else will become more overwhelming for you, and you don't need that on your first day," Liam smiles, leaning in for a side hug before standing up from his bed. "Now, let's pick out an outfit," he exclaims, clasping his hands together in front of himself.
I stare at him bewildered for a moment, but then hop from my sitting position, and join him in my room, hunting for the perfect outfit. I don't know what is considered too casual, and what's too fancy. I'm not sure if it makes me look to young and unprofessional, or if it ages myself. I honestly haven't got a clue.
"What about this?" Liam questions, holding up a pair of jeans, with a navy polo. I tilt my head to the side, considering whether or not it could work, but decide that I have nothing better. I smile and nod, "Thank you so much Lili, it's very much appreciated," I laugh, latching onto his back like a koala bear.
Liam laughs from under me, and I can feel the vibrations through my chest, "Alright, alright, it was nothing, but you should get off of me know so that you won't run late!" He replies, raising his voice near the end while growing me off his back, and onto my bed.
"Dick," I say, sitting up from the bed. Liam chuckles, and then walks out of my room, shutting the door behind him.
I know I've mentioned it so many times in the past, but I'm so very grateful that I can call him my mate. If I would've woken anyone else up at bloody six thirty in the morning, they would've shit bricks. But Li comforted me, and got out of bed to help me out. The amount of love he holds in his heart is beyond my knowledge, and I can't wait to meet the beautiful girl who he ends up giving it to. Whoever she is, she's one lucky girl.
I thank Liam one last time before leaving, and am out the door by seven exact.
The drive is long, and boring. Traffic moving slowly, since everyone else is on their way to work as well. As I'm waiting in the car, I think back on a couple of days ago, when I had been introduced to all of the teachers. Everyone seemed fairly nice from what I could tell, but I know there will be some who I won't necessarily "get along" with. There always is.
