Chapter Nineteen | Worth it.
She braced herself as she made her way downwards.
'Here goes nothing' She thought as she opened the door to find him sitting in his dark.
When he saw her he literally jumped out of the car.
"Abbie" He said as he almost ran towards her. "I need to talk to you"
"We shouldn't Aaron" She said. She was once again on the verge of crying and she was honestly so tired of it.
Crying seemed to be the only thing she was doing lately and by the redness of his eyes, it was the same for him.
"Why not? That's the thing . Why shouldn't we talk?" He asked the dreaded question.
"Because we're getting used to each other. What if you won't be here the next day huh? And I am used to you. And then you go away. What will I do Aaron?" She said frustrated, her hands flying in the air with the words flowing out of her mouth.
"I am not going nowhere and I know it. You should know it too Abbie. I've finally found someone who understands. If I let you go I will be stupidest person on the planet Earth and all the other planets that exist" He replied, he was on the verge of crying too.
"Okay let's say you won't leave me. But what if I leave you? What then? Tell me Aaron. What if I leave the next day after you're attached to me" Abbie said "You will be hurt. You will feel pain. You will go back to staying inside your room and not coming out. I do not want that. Don't you get it?"
"It'll be worth it Abbie. Every moment that we will spend together will be worth all the pain that I will be left to deal with later. I don't know about you, but I am willing to take all the pain I will be given for these moments with you. Because you understand Abbie. You understand me when no one else in the world does" He finished.
"I am not worth it Aaron, I am not worth it" She said as tears flowed out.
As the response she was embraced in Aarons hug.
"You're worth it all Abbie" He said as he tightened his arms around her.
"So do we give this friendship another shot? please?" He said once he had let her go.
She knew that she shouldn't have agreed, but she did anyway.
"Yes"
