TAYLOR YORK'S POV
I jump in my bed to attack my perfect wife.
"I'm hoooommmmeeeeee!!!" I exclaim, pouncing on her.
She yelps and smacks me.
"You need to stop doing that in the middle of the night." she tiredly says to me.
I make my way on top of her and give her a welcoming kiss.
"You know you love it." I said, laughing it off.
"Maybe." she says as she kisses me harder.
"I've missed youuuuuu." I said as I got off of her and went to turn on the light.
"Ah no." she groans as she digs into her pillow.
"What time is it anyway?" she added.
"4am."
"Really? Couldn't you just have cuddled with me instead?"
"I could of, but you missed me."
"Did I now?"
"Yup!"
She looks at me and smirks. Oh how I missed that.
"Just get into bed with me."
"I slept the whole plane ride. I'm nowhere near tired. I'm gonna unpack." I reached for my luggage that I left in the doorway. I wasn't away for long. Just some last "orders of business" to be taken care off to wrap up our latest album. Been almost a year since it released, and I have to say it has been are best work yet.
"No sleep for me then." she sighed as she rolled over to watch me unpack.
"Why would you fall asleep if you missed me?" I said as I started to approach her.
I knelt down to meet her face. She placed her hand on my cheek, pinching it a little. Her tired eyes gleamed, and she simply grinned at me.
"How are the kids?" I asked, not looking anywhere but her eyes.
"They are the ones who really missed you." she answered. However, her tone revealed that our kids was not the only ones missing me.
"They tuned in, and were completely devastated that you guys didn't recieve the award." she continued.
I chuckled envisioning my daughter overreact in dissapointment.
"It's okay. It's only a Grammy." I kissed her nose, and smiled at her. She returned the smile with her eyes.
"Is it still in Amy Winehouse's hair?"
I laughed forgetting that old joke of our first Grammy nomination. It seemed ages ago.
"Yeah maybe that's where it went. Can't believe you remember that. How many albums ago was that?"
I drew my attention back to unpacking my suitcase.
"You mean how many awards ago?" she playfully inquired.
"Ahh yes, must be mistaken." I played along. We both chuckled a bit. She sat up in the bed, looking down on the floor. I can tell she wanted to say something, but I was caught between coming up with a following joke or something serious.
"Well, actually there is something else that you would not be able to believe." she blurted.
"Hmm?" I replied as I tossed some dirty clothes into the hamper.
She didn't reply which worried me. I turned around to find her with a serious look on her face.
"Did Nathan--"
She shook her head.
"No, he's been having a good streak." she interrupted.
"Then what's wrong?" I sat down in front of her holding her hands.
"Zac called me. I guess he tried calling you but you were on the plane."
"Yeah I saw, I thought I would call back in the morning." I said, unsure where this was heading.
A tingling uneasiness hit me as I was trying hard not to imagine Zac in some sort of trouble.
She caught my reaction and quickly added, "Zac's fine. He's fine. It's actually about Josh."
"Josh?" I haven't heard a single thing about him since Nathan's baby shower. That was over 10 years ago.
"Tay... Josh is in a coma."
