It was Friday morning, I woke up and got out of bed. I thought to myself about Josh and how I hoped he would talk to me tonight.
I got ready for school and rushed downstairs to grab my bag and go. Mum and Brianna were making porridge.
"Morning Hollie, we are making porridge if you want some?"
"Nah, I'm okay thanks. I think I'll just grab something on the way to school," I kissed her and Brianna goodbye and grabbed my school bag of the sofa.
"Bye Mum, Bye Bri," I shouted just as I was shutting the door, Oh and mum! Don't forget it's Sophie's Party tonight!"
"I haven't forgotten don't worry. Have a good day honey."

I ran up to Sophie's house and let myself in.
"Hey Clare!" I shouted to Sophie's mum who was putting toast in the toaster.
"Sophie's upstairs if you want to go and get her."
I raced upstairs.
"BOO!!" I yelled,
Sophie screamed and turned around to see me.
"Haha, I got you this time!" we both laughed.
"Let me just grab my bag," Sophie said,"You looking forward to my party then? It's gonna be so good!"
"You bet I am! I hope Josh talks to me again!"
"Again? When did he ever talk to you?"
"Omg, I never told you did I!!"
I explained to Sophie what happened that journey home and she just stood there laughing her head off.

We arrived at school and unpacked our things into our lockers.
"Hey Josh!" Sophie called.
"SOPHIE!!" I hissed.
"Hey what's up?" Josh asked Sophie.
"I was wondering.. are you coming to my party later?"
"You bet! it's gonna be so rad! I'm hoping to pull a few girls out there ya' know," he winked at us both,"Anyway better get to class other wise Mr Salesby is gonna murder me!"
Me and Sophie giggled at him and waved him off.
"He winked at me!" I said to Sophie.
"I thought he winked at me?!" Sophie replied.
"He winked at both of us," I smiled.
We grabbed our books that we needed for class and walked to the classroom.

The lesson had just ended as I heard someone call my name.
"Hey Hollie...,"
I turned around to see who was talking to me.
"Hey Josh!" I smiled.
"How are you?" He asked.
"I'm fine thanks," I blushed,"How about you?"
"Oh I'm great!" he smiled back,"Well I actually wanted to ask you something.."
"yeah? what is it?"
"Well I was wondering...Would you like to go to Sophie's party with me?.."
"OMG YES! I would love to Josh!"
"Okay then, I'll pick you up at half past 6," he winked at me then walked off.
Sophie just walked out of the classroom and saw Josh walk away from me.
"Everything okay?" she asked.
"Well um Sophie.. everything's more than okay! Josh Taylor just asked me to go to your party with him.." I squealed.
"No way!!!"
"Yes way,"

I put on some makeup and looked into my wardrobe.
"Hmmmm.."
Mum swung open the door and said,"Don't know what to wear huh?"
"No..."
"Is that boy you like still coming to pick you up?"
"Yeah!"
"Wait a second," she said.
"um okay."
She walked out of my room and into her and dads and opened up her wardrobe. She took out the most amazing black strapless prom dress and handed it to me.
"Here sweetie. I want you to have this," she said.
"Mum I can't take that! That's your prom dress!"
"Well honey, I'm never going to a prom again so you have more use of it then I do."
I hugged her," thank you so much Mum! I love you so much!"
"Well you don't have much time," she looked at her watch,"It's twenty-five past 6! Your date will be coming in five minutes!"
She went back downstairs and helped Brianna with her homework.
I slipped on the dress and tied a bow at the back of it. I looked into my full length mirror and smiled. I actually looked amazing. I quickly curled my hair and placed a tiara on my curls. Then I grabbed my bag and put my phone, purse and perfume in it.
I ran down the stairs being careful not to slip.
"Oh and Hollie?"
"What mum?"
"I want you to have these to!"
She handed me black heeled shoes and a pair of black rose earrings.
"Thanks! I love them!
I put the earrings in and slipped on the shoes.
Just as I was buckling them up I heard a knock at the door.
"There he is!" my mum said,"Have fun dear, text me when you want picking up,"
She kissed my forehead and went back to Brianna. I opened the door and standing there was the most handsome person I've ever seen.
"You look gorgeous Hollie!" he exclaimed.
"Wow you look amazing too Josh!" I replied.
"Let's go then, we can get a taxi if you don't want to walk,"
"Nah, let's walk,"
We can spend more time together.. I thought.
"Bye mum! Bye Bri!" I waved goodbye to them both.
I slammed the front door shut and smiled at Josh. He grabbed my hand, I smiled to him and he smiled back.
"I love you Hollie," he said.
I gasped.
"What is it Hol? Don't you like me?" he said, letting go of my hand.
"No Josh! It's not that! Well you see.. I have liked you the day that I first met you. Its just I never thought you would ever like me back," I explained.
"I liked you the first day I ever set my eyes upon you.." He turned towards me and kissed me on the cheek.
"C'mon! We're gonna be late!"
He gave me a piggy back and he ran me all the way to the village hall. When we arrived we were both out of breath from laughing too much.
"Hollie? Josh? What have you been doing?" Sophie asked.
"We..We were running...here" I said panting.
Sophie just giggled,"Well come on! Your both late!"
We all walked into a room which was full to the brim of people dancing and laughing at one another.
Sophie got grabbed away by a boy who wanted to dance with her.
"He seemed keen!" laughed Josh.
"aha!" I laughed back.

By the end of the night me and Josh became really close friends, Sophie danced with a boy in the year above us and the toilets got flooded because someone left the taps on.
