Chapter 6: Masquerade

The masquerade is today and Carter is supposed to be picking up my dress. I have to go because its apart of this deal Elena and I made as kids. If I went to the masquerade and dressed up , Elena would let me dye her hair. If I don't,  I have to dye my hair brown and that is a no deal , plus I have to eat her cooking. Not happening. Elena can't cook for shit. Shit.

We were walking Jenna inside the house from the hospital.

"Easy." Matt says."Grab the door , Jeremy."

"Stop fussing , I'm fine." Jenna argues.

"The doctor said that you have to take it easy." Elena notified. Jeremy closed the door.

"Yeah , you don't wanna rip the stitches. Hemorrhage and die , all right." He mentions.

"Yeah , the only thing I'm gonna die from is embarrassment." Jenna says. Matt mumbles a 'no'.

"I 'walked' into a knife. How does somebody do that?" Jenna questioned.

"Lots of people , Jen. Smart people." I comment rubbing her shoulder.

"You're just trying to make me feel better," She states.

"It was a freak accident." Elena backs up.

"Yeah , it happens."

"Yeah. I mean , I've done it, like , 20 times at The Grill." Matt mentions. Jenna laughs and held her stomach.

"Okay , I'm being nice." Matt says helping her sit on the couch. "All right, easy."

"What should I do with this?" Matt asked holding the brown bag with food.

"Give that to me." I say politely, snatching the bag and placing it on the kitchen table. Jeremy and Elena follow me.

"So what are we gonna do?" Jer asked us.

"Make lunch." Elena and I say.

"About Katherine." He says. I roll my eyes and smile.

"Kill that slut." I say to him. Elena glares at me and I shrug. "What , Len? The world would be a much safer and better place without her."

"We're not going to do anything, Jeremy." Elena buzzkills. I stick my tongue.

"She tried to kill Jenna. We can't let her get away with that." Jeremy reminds her.

"Yes , we can. If it keeps us safe , then we can." Elena argues.

"What if she tries something else ?" Jer questioned.

"She won't." Elena says. I glare at her. "Katherine hurt Jenna because I didn't do what she said. Well , I'm doing it now. Me and Stefan are over. She wins. The end."

"Len.... I've been in a room for a minute with Katherine. And she is the type of person to promise something and cross her fingers behind her back. If she were to try something , and most likely she will. I'll kill that slut." I say honestly , popping a grape in my mouth , exiting the kitchen.

I'm meeting Carter at his apartment so I can get dressed there. I grab his door handle which has vervain on it.

"Carter open the damn door." I yell. The door opens and he's in a suit. "Why must you always be dressed before me?"

He walks over to me."Because I'm better than you." I laugh. "Funny , I said no more lies. Carter." He chuckled and handed me , my dress. It is a long all white sleeveless  cocktail dress with black detailing. I nearly shed a tear.

"It's beautiful. Thank you , C." I thanked him. He nodded. I go to the bathroom and get dressed. The dress is really long and he got me black gloves and a white masquerade mask with black detailing. My black glitter stilettos are comfy and I apply my makeup.

My matte red lipstick , eyeliner and mascara. I thicken my eyebrows a little bit and put on my mask. For my hair I just curled it.

This masquerade party isn't so bad. I peep Stefan and Damon.

"Is Elena here?" I ask them. They look at me and I stare at them waiting for an answer. Damon shakes his head.

"She shouldn't be." He answered. I knit my eyebrows and scoot away from them.

I continue to party and search for my sister until I see Elena not dressed up and I hear Katherine and Damon upstairs. I zoom upstairs and I see Stefan and Katherine in a room. I go to step in the room but Caroline grabs my arm.

"If you go in , you can't get out." She warned me. I turn around and walk back down the stairs.

"No." Stefan says. "But he can." I overhear. I zoom outside and I fall down.

I scream. "What the hell." I said getting up and feeling a blood spot in my back. I struggle to get up but I zoom over to Elena.

We scream together as another ache pierces our arm.

"What's going on?" Jeremy asked , gazing at us."What's happening?"

"Jeremy it's Katherine. They're linked to Katherine!" Bonnie answered. "Get them to stop, now!" She instructs Jer. Jeremy runs inside. I let out another scream when my hand starts to bleed.

"I can't break the spell , you guys I'm sorry. I can take some of the pain away for Elena." Bonnie says mumbling a spell.

"You guys okay." Jeremy asked. I nod my head.

"Are they?" I questioned.

"They're stuck in there with her. You were right Katherine had a witch link Elena and Arielle to her." Jeremy explained. Bonnie's eyes widen in realization.

"That girl I saw the one inside." Bonnie says getting up."Stay with them. Keep the pressure on her. I'll be back."

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"There's another witch here , I'm gonna find her." Bonnie answered. I'm healing but barely I grabbed her hand and mumbled a healing spell. Even though I thought it wouldn't work it did and I breathe heavily.

Elena and I are walking towards the car and I'm playing a game on my phone.

"Tell Bonnie that whatever she did, I'm starting to feel better. Yeah you can drive her home. I'm just going to go straight to bed. Okay." Elena says getting off of the phone and unlocking the car. I sense another person behind Elena and I turn around. He grabs both of us and covers our mouthes.

He threw us in the back of a car and my vision faded to black.
