*Gerard's P.O.V.*

"Happy late birthday Gee," she said with a smile.
"Thanks babe, I honestly do appreciate you remembered. I love you," I leaned in to kiss her.
"I love you too Gee," she said as I kissed her forehead.
"Ewe, guys that can wait got some other day," said a disgusted Frank.
Everyone let out a chuckle.
After that, the doctor came back in with a clipboard in hand.
"Excuse me, but it is important that Ms. Adams here is taken to get an MRI scan. We just need to check if she'll be having any type of memory loss," the doctor sounded serious and so, I backed away from her bed.
"Its okay, this shouldn't take more than an hour" said the doctor.
And with that a male nurse came in and got Serenity to sit in a wheelchair. And they were off.

~Time Skip: 2 months~

*Serenity's P.O.V.*

Gerard and I had graduated high school last month and we were both attending a school of arts in New York.

~Graduation Day Flashback~

When my name was called up, I stood, and walked towards the podium. I was handed my diploma and was dismissed to the side of the stage. After about another 100 people were called, Gerard's name was called.
"Gerard Way," called out our principal.
"Is Mr. Way here," she repeated into the mic.
Then at the end of the aisle, was Gerard, a bouquet of roses in hand. He jogged his way up to the podium and he stood in front of the mic.

"I'd like to call out my girlfriend, Serenity Adams, to the stage," he breathed in.
I walked up towards him and gave him a confused look as I aalked over to him.
"Serenity, I love you. You complete me and I've never been this happy in my life," he got on one knee.
Oh my fucking God. He was really doing this. I felt tears well up in my eyes.

"Serenity, will you do me the honor of marrying me?"
"Yes Gee, I'd love to!"

~End Flashback~

I looked at my engagement ring as I remembered that day.

"Hey babe, how's my fiancé doing this fine morning?" I looked over to see Gee in the doorway of my room with two coffees in hand.
"Morning Gee," I said yawning," did my aunt leave for work?"
"No, but I'm about to leave, " said my aunt in a playful tone.
"Be good kids, I'll be home in the evening," she called out as she walked outside and shut the door behind her.

~Later That Day~

*Helena's P.O.V.*

Where is Gerard? He said he wanted to talk to me but I'm not even sure he's coming.
I fiddled with the pencil on my desk, placing it at the top and watching it roll down repeatedly.
After a few more minutes of pencil fiddling, Gerard walked in through the door, into my office.

"I'm so sorry I'm about an hour late miss. I needed to make sure Serenity was asleep," he sounded out of breath, as if he ran up the stairs to the fifth floor.
"Its alright, now tell me. What was so important I had to cancel a meeting today?" I asked playfully.
He handed over a CD.
"Its a short demo. I worked on this song for Serenity in the time she was in a coma. Its not the entire song, but I'd like to think it sounds acceptable." I glanced to look at the disc placed carefully in its slim box. It was titled "Headfirst For Halos".
