Questionable [ON HIATUS]

A New Beginning

*Gerard's P.O.V.*

What I saw before me was the same lifeless beauty that I've observed for the past 5 months. Except this time she was talking.
My baby girl is talking again. I wanted to hear her voice so bad at this moment.
"We can't go in yet," I heard a familiar voice say. I turned around to see Serenity's aunt hold out a coffee for both Frank and I.
"Thank you," we both said in appreciation.
"When did you get here," I asked.
"About the same time you did. I was in the elevator when you came in almost crashing through the double doors," she said with a smile.
"Oh, Haha," I let out a nervous chuckle.
I turned over to Mikey.
"Hey Mikes, can I talk to you," I said and he let go of Ray walking over to me.
"What's up Gee?"
"Look Mikey, I know Serenity just woke up after 5 months or so, but I need you to watch over her. I won't be in town for a few days and I'd like you to watch over her for me. Is that okay?"
"Sure Gee. Anything to help. But, may I ask where you're going?"
"I'm gonna visit her brother in New York. Ever since he went to prison for what he did to Pete and for what he did to his parents, I'd like to pay him a visit."
"But why? Gerard, we don't know what he's capable of doing. What if you give him information he could use and then escapes again? Gee, really think this through. Think of Serenity. I mean cmon Gee, you just turned 18 a month and a half ago. If anything, Ms. Adams should be the one visiting."
"I am thinking of her. I've never stopped thinking about her for a second. That's why I'm going."
"Alright Gee. You better know what you're doing."

We finished our conversation and walked back to the others, and at that precise moment, the doctor came out.
"Adams family?" He said.
Both Ms. Adams and I approached him.
"Are you the mother?" he asked as he looked at Serenity's aunt.
"No, I'm her aunt. But I'd like to think so," she responded.
Then he looked at me. "And you are?" I'm her boyfriend. He nodded and proceeded with what he was going to say.
"Well, I'm glad to say that Serenity has shown all signs that she is perfectly fine. She'll be able to go home in a few days," then he looked at the rest of us and back at me and her aunt. "She's asking for a Gerard. Its fine if you would like.to go in and see her. Just know that her hearing is extremely sensitive and so, it is important that you use silent voices."
"Thank you doctor," I said and walked in her room.

*Serenity's P.O.V.*

While the doctor left to talk to everyone outside, I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
I've been in a coma for 5 months.
This was ridiculous. I let out a small chuckle and shifted my body to a more comfortable position in.my hospital bed.
After about two to three minutes, the doctor left and Gee came into my room.
"Hey babe. How are you feeling?," he said in a low voice as he walked over to me and kissed the top of my head.
"Hey Gee," my voice was raspy. I let out a faint sigh, " I missed you."
He smiled his adorable crooked smile that always melted my heart.
"I missed you too,"he said.
After a while, Aunt Helena came in along with Mikey, Ray, and Frank trailing behind her.
"Hey everyone," I smiled at them.
"Oh my good lord, Serenity. We all missed you very much. How are you feeling?" asked Mikey.
"I feel super weak to be honest. My entire body feels super heavy," I answered.
"Wheres Bob? I saw him when I woke up," I asked.
"He went home. After calling the nurse over to your room, he got dizzy soon after and so Mikey and I told him to go home and rest. He hasn't slept in about two days," answered Ray.
He did look tired, I thought to myself.
I turned over to Gee. "Babe, what day is it?"
"Its May 23rd. How come?" He replied.
"Happy late birthday Gee."
