~~~~~~~~~~~~~I groaned at the sound of the alarm before reaching out from under the cover to slam a hand down on the silver alarm clock that sat on my bedside table. I grabbed my phone from it's charging place beside my alarm and box of tissues, powered it on, and went on to check my social media sites.
I had kind of a routine. Instagram first, then Twitter, followed by Snapchat and then Facebook. I don't usually check Facebook, but when I do, I find myself either instantly bored of it or spending about an hour stalking someone, usually a popular from school.
As per usual, there wasn't very much new gossip floating around, just the occasional date picture popping up here or there.
After spending about half an hour in bed on my phone, I could hear my insides burning having not eaten since yesterday's breakfast. I have to admit, at times I still find myself gradually turning back to my anorexic phase where I would eat a small breakfast with family in the morning then during lunch drown myself with bottles and bottles of water and have absolutely nothing for dinner but a celery stick.
I pulled myself out of bed and slipped on my pink Hollister flip flops before fixing my bed hair and throwing it into a bun at the top of my head. I walked down the grand staircase in only my maroon pajama bottoms and gray t-shirt.
I walked into the kitchen where I greeted Monte and the other three people kitchen staffers who I didn't see too much of. I walked over to the refrigerator and opened the door, hoping to find some yogurt inside. I find and take out what I need along with three eggs and a carton of milk.
I place all the condiments on the island as Monte, who is happily flipping pancakes behind the stove, hands me a glass for my milk and a spoon for my yogurt. One of the kitchen staffers begins to crack my eggs in a bowl at the other side of the island.
"So Monte, what's on the schedule today?" I asked considering it was Saturday.
"Why don't you ask her?" Monte says, pointing the spatula at my Aunt Julie who was making her way into the kitchen.
I gave him a smile before turning my head to see Aunt Julie flustered and yelling into her phone in French.
I cocked an eyebrow at Maggie, her assistant, who shrugged before returning to the iPad that sat in her hands.
After about ten minutes of Aunt Julie aimlessly wandering around the kitchen yelling into the phone, she slammed the phone down on the island and let out a groan before gathering herself and directing her attention towards me.
"Good morning, Del. You're up early on a Saturday." she said.
"Yeah. I used to work morning shifts at around 8:00 back at home at the Book Rack, so I'm pretty used to waking up at 7." I said.
I glanced at the clock, it was 7:45
"Well that's good life skill. Trust me, when you're my age, you're going to wish you even get to sleep at all with all the things I have going on right now." she said, taking a sip of her water.
"Anyways, tonight is a big big night. For all of us!" she said.
"How come?" I asked.
"You don't know?" she asked, her eyes bugging.
"No." I said, shaking my head.
"Oh my god. Those boys can't do anything I ask, can they? I swear I'm going to have their heads on a god damn stick." she shouted furiously.
