HI LOVELIES!! Here's another chapter! I promised longer chapters, but sadly this is fairly short! And the picture that is inserted here is the girl who I have chosen to play Delfena Conroy! Her name is Taylor Spreilter and in some pictures she may appear a bit more blond than brunette, but just try and picture her a brunette. Please excuse any and all mistakes! Be brutally honest, because I need the feedback! Enjoy!!

I held the package tightly in my hand. The Manila folder held the rest of my life, printed all in black and white. My dad had just come back from the conference and there, he received this package, which contained my schedules, my portfolio, and my head shots. I carefully opened the package and slipped everything out, scattering them on my bed.
I pulled a large white sheet of paper from the pile. According to the page, I was due at the school in Massachusetts in two weeks time.
I am planning to stay with my aunt in her mansion—I mean house. My Aunt Rachel owned a clothing line, which in my opinion, is super badass. She also has two sons, my cousins, Connor and Christopher Vaughn-Camp. They're twins and both also go to Lakelen, but they're seniors this upcoming year with Connor being the soccer champ and Christopher the lacrosse star. My aunt and cousins have been there for us through my mom's death and my mental health struggles. I've known them my entire life and moving in with them wasn't going to be awkward or scary, in fact, I was excited.
Aunt Rachel's got divorced a few years ago, but she's remained a total badass about it, cursing him out every chance she gets. The boys are pretty immune to it, seeing as their bad cheated on her with, I'm sure you can guess—his assistant—and actually side with their mom on the situation.
My room was half empty at this point into the packing process and all that was left was some furniture and knick-knacks I couldn't take along.
I head a knock at my room door.
"Del" a voice said.
"Yeah, Aeko?" I responded. The door opened and Aeko's entered my room with an snoring book in hand.
"Can you drop me off at Max's?"
"Uh, sure. Did you ask dad if you could go?"
"Of course. I also called Max's mom to confirm the time and place."
"Smart boy. I'll meet you in the car in 10. I have to get ready for the rink."
Aeko shut the door as I walked into the bathroom, stripping my sweatpants and oversized sweater off. I slipped on a pair of leggings and a red long sleeved shirt before throwing on a black NorthFace vest. I quickly threw my day old hair into a bun and grabbed a pair of boots on the way out of my room.
I jogged down the steps of the house and to my red Honda. It was my mom's and even though we were going through financial trouble, my dad couldn't bear to sell it. I made sure Aeko was buckled and ready before plugging the keys into the ignition and pulling out of the driveway.
After dropping Aeko off and an additional 15 minutes of driving, I pulled into the large half full parking lot, and yanked the keys from the ignition. I grabbed the blue duffel bag next to me and ran out, trying to dodge the cold as best I could.
Once inside, I checked in with Casey, the front desk lady, and reached the locker rooms. I pulled my boots off and placed them inside my bag. I pulled my white skates on and laced them up. I was on pickup duty today and was fully conscious of the fact that it was 3:37 and I needed to pick up Lexi's from practice at 4:30, then Aeko at 5. Time was short, but an hour of skating is better than no time at all, right?
This skating center offers classes and free skating daily. There were 6 different rinks. Two for classes, one for younger children, one for teenagers, one for professional skating practices/events, and one for adult skaters.
I trotted onto the teen skate rink to find that it was near empty besides a couple in the corner. The boys hands were placed on the girls waist and he was guiding her around swiftly. I couldn't help but smile as I myself glided onto the smooth ice.
I started with a few warm up laps. Skating around the rink, I realized how much I was going to miss this place once I was gone. I skated to the middle of the ice and started doing turns. I kept my hands in the air and did a trick my mom taught me when I was 8. My left leg flew up and my hand grasped it, tucking it above my head. I held onto it, allowing my right foot to swirl in the same place for a few seconds before my leg grew tired.
I skated around, doing various random tricks and watching the couple in the corner as they did me. I waved and they waved back as I skated off the ice and trotted back into the locker room made for the teen rink. I gathered my things and slid my boots on. I walked out of the locker room with a pang of satisfaction and a smile on my face. Hopping into my car, I sped down the street to pick up Lexi.
