Colton's P.O.V

When the bus passed the sign saying that I was now in the infamous town of Chruchwood, I cringed.  I didn't want to be here.  I wanted to be back home in Cali.  But, since I'm so much of an delinquent, my parents thought it would be funny to send me here to, and I quote, "Fix myself,".  But I didn't need fixing.

You see, the thing is I'm not even a delinquent.  I just act like it around them.  Now, don't go around asking me why I would do that?  But, if I knew that I'd end up here, I wouldn't have.  I had the best life back home, I was captain of the soccer team, was the schools most successful player, and popularity.  Now, I had to start all over again, what if the girls don't swoon!  Oh, who am I kidding, they always swoon.

I am now on my way to my distant relative's house. I was brought out of my thoughts by the driver saying I have reached my destination. I stood up and grabbed my bags from the shelf above my seat. I huffed in exhaustion once I started my journey to the house I will been living at.

The hazing sun beating my face as sweat trickled down my face. Carrying my two bags that was filled with my full wardrobe, and another for my soccer equipment. I was a light packer. Every summer I went to soccer camp, so I had to be a light packer, I needed to be able to carry everything plus my soccer bag. Which was huge. I will forever regret the day when I decided to mess with my parents.

Soccer camp just ended, so there were just a few days of summer left. Sadly. When I got home that day I was greeted by my parents with their lecture faces on. My prediction was fulfilled when they started an hour long lecture about the usual, delinquency. When they were nearing the end of their speech, they told me I was moving to Chruchwood. I exploded. I yelled at them. I flailed my arms. Trying to convince them to let me stay or give me another chance. Somewhere along those lines. I demanded an explanation. They just said they were done with my shenanigans. My mouth fell open when I realized they were completely serious. Sitting there with blank expressions on there faces. I searched and searched they're faces for anything that gave of the slightest tip that they were lying. Nothing. I came up with nothing.

I winced just thinking of that night. I stopped talking to them that night. I know I was being childish. But they knew how much soccer meant to me. And leaving meant leaving my team. But, I didn't plan on not playing soccer. I was going to lead this team. I was so good that they had to at least let me on. Unless there was someone better than me here. Which was a 1% chance of that happening.

I turned down my relative's street and scanned the other houses. They were decent. I guess. I'm going to be honest here and say I don't really know how I'm related to these new people I'm going to be living with. When I stopped talking to my parents that included questions. So, I didn't ask questions and they had no questions to answer.

I stood in front of the address I was given. I shook my head, mostly at myself, but also at my parents for making me do this. I took a look at the front of my new house, it looked like a two story house, it had bricks varying from reds to browns and had 5 large windows, 3 which appeared to be on the second story, and 2 beside the door. I slowly stepped up to the porch. I reached to ring the doorbell, I hesitated at first but shook my head and hit the button. I heard footsteps on the side of the door, and not much longer the down opened to a middle aged women.

"Ah, my beautiful nephew is finally here," she said in a cheery tone. Nephew. She's my Aunt.

"Hi, I'm Colton but you can call me Colt," I greeted with an outstretched hand. She looked down at my hand and looked back up for a sly grin. She pulled me into a bone crushing hug and whispered into my ear. "I know who you are silly, you're my big sisters son, Colton." She let go and held me at arms length as she looked me up and down.
