Aspen's P.O.V

I was sitting on the swing that was slightly swinging with the breeze. My surroundings dimmed with the gray skies. Signalling that rain was about to fall. The air misty with fog. The trees casting shadows down on the ground. No one was in the park, but I could hear people coming closer to the entrance of the park. One kicking a ball along. And one walking with pride and confidence. The one kicking the ball, distinctly a young man, stood at about 6'3'. The other, maybe 25 or 26 but with the amount of confidence this man held gave off the aura of an angel. This man, his name Daniel. But the other... Human? Images started to flash in my mind.

A bus swerving, Adonis driving. Us arriving at Daniel house. Someones back walking towards it, but it's not Daniel's. Memories of a car crash, a girl and a boy. Not my memories. Horns blaring, sounds of crushing metal, screams filled with pain. Smoke in the air.

I shook my head, now knowing who was with Daniel. Colton. He's going to recognize me, but let him. Let him know that there is a connection between Daniel and I.

They passed though the gates moments later, I cut off my hearing so I seemed normal. Couldn't have Daniel recognizing me. If I don't do anything that humans are not capable of, he won't pick it up.

I watched them from the corner of my eye and see that my predictions were correct once my eyes land on the soccer ball Colton was kicking around. They looked like they had a awkward silence around them, because Daniel was eyeing Colton warily, as if expecting him to say or do something wrong. I knew Colton was known for doing some pretty bad stuff at his old school, but this seemed different. Almost like he thought he was going to attack him.

They went into the clearing and started to kick the ball around, and I had to admit Colton was pretty decent. He would easily get on the soccer team. I'm guessing that's why he easily makes friends also. He's cocky, arrogant, ignorant, and a womanizer. Typical stereotypical boy. I got all that from one conversation with the guy. He's easy to read, never mind that that is one of my strong suits. All the way across the bus, I could see his arrogant aura.

I didn't realize that I zoned out until the ball they were playing with rolled past me. Colton was running towards me or the ball. I had a feeling he would forget about the ball by the time he recognizes me. I look over to where Daniel was currently standing, and he was skeptically staring at me, wondering who I was. Once he saw my sunglasses, his eyes widened in recognition. The corners of my mouth twitched. He came jogging over here not trusting myself and Colton in the same radius alone for a long period of time.

Daniel's P.O.V

Colton was a nice kid, but I couldn't shake the feeling that he's had a encounter with something unexplainable. Something... evil. Fallen Angel. We kicked around the ball for a while until Colton kicked it all the way across the park, near the swing set. I eyed the mystery personal sitting quietly on the swing. As if, sensing my gaze she turned her headed and met my eyes. Sunglasses. She was wearing sunglasses. There's only one person who wears sunglasses in this weather. Soni. The fallen angel that I've been chasing all my time on Earth.

Aspen Soni has the biggest bounty for being the oldest fallen angel in history. I've tracked her all the way here and I knows she knows that I know what she is. But she doesn't run away from me... and that terrify's me.

My eyes widen, as I realize that the ball has rolled past, and by the way she seems to be holding off a smile she knows it too. I quickly start to jog over to them. By the time I get there, Colton seems to have recognized her.

"Hey Aspen! Funny seeing you here!" he says animatedly.

"Hey." she nods. Her eyes cast over to me, "Daniel." she nods once again. "Well, I was just leaving so nice seeing you guys here,"

She stood up from her seat and started to walk past us. On her way past though, she patted my shoulder. Knowing that I would have a reaction.

My vision blurred, everything started to spin, I felt like I was going to throw up. She seems to be getting stronger by the day

I looked over to where Colton was standing and his eyes filled with concern.

"Daniel? Are you okay?" he asks. Not trusting my voice, I nodded my head. I looked behind my to see Aspen walking away knowing she's won.

Well played, Soni.
