Colton's P.O.V

After the rest of the school week, I crashed. Hard. I slept for almost 24 hours. I have never been so drained. I was awoken on Sunday morning to my Aunt shaking me awake. Whispering my name into my ear. My eyes flutter open, seeing my Aunt leant of me.

"Uh huh?" my voice muffled from the pillow.

"Daniel's coming home today. I want you to meet him." she said. I turned my body so I was laying on my back.

"Alright, when's he getting here?" I asked, truly wanting to meet him. It would be nice to have a guy in this place.

"9:00 a.m." she said. My eyes widened, 9:00 a.m. What time was it?

"It's 8:00." she said reading my mind. I got up and rushed into my closet, taking out a black v-neck t-shirt, blue jeans and some boxers. I went into my en suite bathroom. After having a quick shower and getting dressed, it was 8:45. I had fifteen minutes to have breakfast. Perfect.

I ran down the stairs two at a time. And walked into the kitchen and had a bowl of cereal. I had to admit, I was pretty excited. Maybe he could play soccer, I needed a partner to practice with. The door bell rung and I was about to get it but before I could Aunt Pat was already at the door swinging it open.

"Hey Trisha." the man at the front door said with a slight Italian accent. Aunt Pat squealed like a school girl and flung her arms around him.

"Danny! I missed you so much!" she said planting a short kiss on is lips.

"So did I, ciccina." he said, glancing back at me for a second. (means: sweetheart)

"Oh, right! Umm.. Colt this is Daniel Seragetti." Aunt Pat introduced. "Danny this is my nephew Colton."

The man had dark brown hair, bright brown eyes that seemed to sparkle, and a slight stubble along his chin. He was wearing a white t-shirt with a black leather jacket. He had broad shoulders, and jacket appeared to be holding something together. He walked up to me and shook my hand.

"Nice to meet you Colton." his touch seemed to lighten everything up. I gasped, it felt... different. Almost as if touching an angel.

"Same." I didn't even recognize the sound of my own voice

Who was this guy?

He walked around me and into the kitchen, opened the cupboard and took out a glass. put it under the sink and turned on the tap to cold. He gulped down the water and jump up onto the counter.

"So... How are things?" he asked breaking the awkward silence.

"They are very good, Danny! You? How was your business trip?" Aunt Pat asked very enthusiastically.

"The business was good, a little uneventful if you ask me though." he answered, seeming to have a double meaning.

"Doyouplaysoccer?" I blurted out quickly, embarrassed about the question.

"What was that Colton?" he asked furrowing his eyebrows, not understanding what I said.

"Umm... do you by any chance play soccer?" I asked, my eyes cast to the ground.

"I can kick a ball, why?" a sly smile appeared on his face.

"I need someone to practice with, and Aunt Pat doesn't seem like the type." I answered sheepishly.

"Well, you would be right about that." he paused. "Alright I'm free right know, how's that, kiddo?"

"Ok, sure I'll go grab my ball." I ran upstairs, happy to finally do something fun. I just hope he could keep up.

By the time I was back downstairs, Daniel was already at the down with his sneakers on. I quickly tied my shoes up and rushed outside. I say Daniel wave goodbye to Pat and went out the down and started walking down the sidewalk. I dropped the ball and kicked it as I walked. But also making sure I knew where I was, just in case. There was this certain vibe that this guy gave off, mysteries. Similar to Aspen's but much lighter. Like he was the good one and Aspen was the bad one. But that's impossible they don't know each other. Then again, Aspen did think that it was only Daniel and Patricia that lived in my house. So, what was really going on here?

Once we arrived at the park, I could see only one silhouette there. It didn't seem like many people came here because it was a beautiful day and there was nobody here. I disregarded the strange feeling that I got and ran over to the soccer field. Hoping that Daniel was right behind me. And sure enough when I finally arrived there and turned around, there he was standing there, not even breathless.

"What? Just because I'm older than you doesn't mean that I can't keep up!" he smirked.

Oh... This was going to be fun.
