She entered the house with a loud slam of the front door following her, nearly taking the door off of it's hinges. The tapping of her black boots echoed throughout the house. The slam jolted Tate awake, wondering what on Earth the cause of noise was, and also why a noise like that was being made so early in the morning. Elizabeth quickly followed after Carmen, trailing behind her as Carmen made her way into the living room. Tate sat up in bed and pushed himself out, his feet touching the floor. He shuffled to his window, opening the curtain just a tad to see if anyone was outside or not. Nobody seemed to be. A soft groan left his lips. What drama was going to happen now?

Tate opened his bedroom door to be greeted with the faces of Carmen and Elizabeth, who sinisterly smirked at him. No. Carmen was dead. She was buried in his backyard under several feet of dirt. He ripped her heart out of her chest himself. "Did you miss me?" Carmen asked in a cold, almost monotone voice. Her black, emotionless eyes made contact with Tate's. She could sense the fear hidden deep inside them. Carmen's teeth morphed into grotesque shapes. They were razor sharp and usually long. They were like vampire teeth in a way, except every single tooth was similarly shaped like a fang. A loud screech escaped from Carmen's throat as she attacked him, pushing him to the ground roughly.

The two struggled, punching and hitting each other as Elizabeth stood in the corner and watched, acting almost like a coach for Carmen. Carmen's nails dug into his skin deeply. Carmen didn't care how it was done -- she wanted to make him hurt. She wanted to cause him pain, both physical and emotional. Carmen bit into Tate's forearm deeply, leaving a large bite wound that began to bleed heavily. Normally after a few moments, the wound would begin to heal. Except this time, it wasn't. It should have started healing by now. Something was wrong. Very wrong. While this was happening, many thoughts went through Tate's head. One being, "How did Carmen come back to life?" He pondered on if this was just a bad dream and he would wake up eventually. He also wondered if Carmen was a ghost and she was going to haunt him for eternity in revenge for what he had done to her. He kind of did deserve to be haunted.

Tate plunged his hand into Carmen's chest and ripped her heart out, throwing it to the floor. He had expected what had happened previously when he killed her to happen, but it didn't. She didn't fall to the ground. Her eyes didn't close. Her skin didn't turn grey. Nothing. Carmen was still alive, despite her heart having just been ripped out of her chest cavity. Carmen looked down at the hole in her chest. "Don't you men know how rude it is to rip somebody's heart out? I mean, first you do it by toying with our emotions, making us believe in the myth people call love. But then you go and literally rip people's hearts out. Don't you have any manners?" She said, her words laced with sarcasm. She growled at him and scratched at his face with her sharp nails, creating a laceration on his cheek.

Tate groaned in pain before looking at the bite on his arm, noticing that after a few more minutes had passed, it still hadn't healed. Suddenly, Tate began to feel faint and weak. Elizabeth picked up on this too. Elizabeth whistled at Carmen, signaling her to get off of Tate. Tate had suffered enough for now. There would be more to come, she could guarantee that. Carmen pushed herself off of him and stood next to Elizabeth, staring down at Tate who was still on the floor. "What are you?" He asked in a state of confusion. Elizabeth answered for him. "I turned her into a demon. A demon who's only desire is to kill. You, that is. And to serve me. If I want somebody dead, she does it." Tate scoffed, then laughed softly. "So she's your dog. Adorable." Elizabeth stepped closer toward him. "Another comment like that, and with a few little words, I can set your whole house ablaze. You'll lose everything. You're lucky I haven't yet. You took everything from me. It'd only be fair." Tate shot her a glare. He opened his mouth to speak, quickly retracting the action as he decided that speaking probably wasn't a great idea. It was better to keep his mouth shut, that is if he wanted to keep his tongue.

Elizabeth sinisterly smirked at him. That's what she thought. "I think our business is finished here. For now, at least." Elizabeth turned her back to him and stepped out of the room, exiting the house with Carmen trailing close behind. Tate stared up at the ceiling, waiting until he heard the door close to get up. He was afraid that if he got up before they had left, that they would come back and kill him. For once in Tate's life, Tate was afraid. The sight of Carmen in that state instilled fear in him. He had always seen Carmen as a weak, innocent girl. Now, Carmen was the opposite. She was a ruthless, emotionless puppet, and Elizabeth was pulling her strings. The entire situation baffled Tate. What Tate wanted to know most was how exactly was Elizabeth capable of bringing Carmen back from the dead and putting her in this state? When Tate had been acquainted with Elizabeth, he didn't recall Elizabeth informing him of any special powers that she had. Elizabeth was clearly a witch, and it must have been a secret that she had been keeping from him. Perhaps if he had known back then, he would try to find a way to use it to his advantage. Or he would have killed her, knowing that she was stronger than him. The fact that Elizabeth was a vampire as well as a witch also baffled Tate. Tate didn't even know that those existed. He didn't know it was possible for there to be hybrids.

Tate looked at the bite on his arm, which had stopped bleeding but still hadn't healed. The bite was red and inflamed around the edges, and the skin surrounding it had become numb from the pain. Tate grabbed his cell phone from his bedside table and quickly went to his contacts, tapping the contact by the name of Aria. Aria was one of Tate's close friends. In fact, she was his only friend. The only one that he could trust with all of his secrets. Aria was special. She was a vampire as well, and was very knowledgeable about the supernatural. When he tapped the contact, his phone began calling her. After a few rings, Aria picked up the phone. "Hello?" A female voice with a slight Russian accent answered. "Aria. I need your help. Carmen's alive. I killed her, and she came back to life." Tate said, his voice laced with panic. He quickly walked into his bathroom and pulled out bandages and some hydrogen peroxide. He wasn't quite sure why he kept this in his bathroom. Since he was a vampire, he figured he really didn't need it. Until now, of course. With the phone held up to his ear, he poured the peroxide onto the wound, watching the wound foam where blood had been as he listened to the female speak.

"What? That's not possible." Aria raised a brow in confusion.

"And that's not all. Do you remember Elizabeth?" He spoke as he dried the wound, opening the packaging of the bandage.

"Yeah. Didn't you kill her parents?"

"Affirmative. Elizabeth is a vampire and a witch. How did I not know that she was a freaking vampire-witch hybrid?" He slapped the bandage onto the wound, smoothing it to ensure it would stick to the wound.

"It's possible, but it's extremely rare. She's the first I've heard of Rosewood. Do you need me to come down there?" She asked.

Tate threw the packaging of the bandage away. He then looked in the mirror, his reflection staring back at him, his cheek bloody from where Carmen had slashed his face with her nails. "Yes. Carmen and I fought just a few minutes ago, and she bit me. It's not healing. Her eyes were black, Elizabeth claimed to turn her into a demon."

Aria's face froze. "What?" Aria stood up. "If it's the kind of demon that I'm thinking of, there's no getting rid of that bite. It'll end up killing you. Not even magic can fix it."

Tate didn't speak for a few moments. Carmen had basically signed his death sentence. "What do we do?" He asked, trying to keep himself calm.

"First, we have to kill Carmen."

"Tried that. I ripped her heart out, and she slashed my face with her nails, making some sarcastic comment."

"If Elizabeth was the one to bring her back, then Carmen could possibly be linked to Elizabeth. You kill her, you kill Carmen. You kill two birds with one stone."

"If Elizabeth dies, will my wound heal?"

Aria sighed. "I don't know. We'd have to see."

"Just get down here." Tate demanded sternly.
