An hour had passed before Carmen heard the curtain to her room open, greeted with the face of Tate. His hair was slightly messy, and he wore a leather jacket that suited him perfectly, and those skinny jeans made him look absolutely delicious. "You came." Carmen said, trying to keep a calm expression on her feminine features. She sat up in bed, and Tate took a few steps closer towards her. "You should be lucky I came at all." He said in a cold tone. Carmen wondered why he was being so cold towards her. Actually, that shouldn't have even been a thought. He had plenty reason to be cold towards her. Tate sat down at the edge of the bed. "What happened to your head?" He asked, pointing to the bandage at the side of her head. "I got hit by a car. I'm a bit sore and I hit my head hard. I got lucky." Carmen replied, Tate nodding in response. "What do you need my help for?"

"I can't remember anything. I know that I've done terrible things, but I don't remember them. I know who I am. I know who you and Aria are. But I don't know anything else." Carmen looked up at him. Her eyes looked so lost and afraid.

"And how do you expect me to help you with that?"

"I don't know. I just need somebody to support me right now. I need somebody to help me remember."

"Of all people, why me?"

"Because right now, you're the only one I can trust. You're the only one who truly knows me."

Carmen stood up and faced Tate. Her eyes began to fill with tears. "I'm sorry, okay? I know that I did terrible things to you. I'm sorry."

Tate sighed and stood up. "I need time, okay? You can't just waltz back into our lives and expect us to forgive you. Up until an hour ago, I was under the impression you were dead. I'll help you, but I don't forgive you. At least not yet. How can I forgive somebody who's tried to kill me not once, but twice? You broke into my house out of the blue and tried to kill me. Then your friend brings you back from the dead and turns you into a demon, you bite me and it nearly kills me. If it weren't for Aria, I probably wouldn't be here right now. You should be lucky I haven't told Aria yet. If she knew about this right now, she'd rip your throat out before you could even ask her for forgiveness."

"Oh my God.. I did those things? I'm sorry, Tate. I am. If you did those things to me, I wouldn't forgive you either. God, I'm a bad person. I'm a terrible person. I don't expect for you to forgive me instantly. I know I don't deserve forgiveness."

"That's the first smart thing I've ever heard come out of your mouth. You're right. You don't. But I believe that people deserve second chances. Aria, she gave me multiple chances, a lot more than she should have given me. Thanks to her, I'm a better person. Maybe, I'm not quite sure, but perhaps you could change too."

"I know I could. But I can only change if you help me."

"I will."

Carmen nodded, and tossed Tate a slight smile. "Thank you." She wrapped her arms around his neck gently, Tate reluctantly hugging her back. Carmen then roughly plunged her hand into Tate's chest, gripping his heart tightly. As Tate gasped in pain, Carmen leaned up to whisper in his ear. "Goodbye, my sweet love." She yanked his heart out of his chest and dropped it to the floor, watching as he slid out of her arms and onto the ground, hitting his head hard. She watched as the color faded from his skin, relishing in the satisfaction of finally being able to kill Tate. It instantly hit her. Tate was dead. What she wanted to do for decades was finally accomplished. She had finally gotten her revenge upon him. Carmen stared at the blood that covered her arm. She ran over to the sink and scrubbed the blood off. She then quickly grabbed her clothes from the plastic bag in the corner of the room and began to put them on. She needed to leave quickly before anyone came into her room and discovered the grisly sight of Tate's body while she was still there. She needed to leave town. She needed to run. She needed to leave the country, get away from this place as quickly and as far she possibly could. She needed to break ties. She especially needed to leave before Aria discovered that she had murdered her beloved Tate. Before she left, she had considered throwing Tate's body out of the window, considering there was no place else to ditch the body. Instead, she just decided to leave it there.

Once her clothes were on, Aria made sure that she had the guy in the suit's credit card and left her hospital room. She successfully managed to avoid coming to contact with the nurse, able to escape the hospital without detection. Once she had left, she managed to walk a mile or so to a nearby pay phone, using the small amount of change that she had to call herself a taxi cab. Carmen intended on leaving this small, crappy town now and for good.
