After lunch I exchanged numbers with Kelly and told her I will be calling her soon. When I arrived at home I cried In my pillow for hours. Nick texted me that he will becoming home really late but I needed him now. I call him to ask him to come home.
"Hey babe. Did you get my text?"
"Yeah listen I really need you tonight."
"Scarlett I'm sorry but I can't leave work. You'll just have to do without me tonight."
"Nick ple-"
"Scarlett I have a job and I have to do it. Goodbye." He hung up on me and my heart breaks. How can he treat me like this over and over. Is this what it's going to be like for the rest of our lives? Him always too busy for me and me just standing there like a perfect doll. I get up and walk to the mirror and I finally see her. Not the Scarlett that ran away. Or the Scarlett that loves Nick but just Scarlett. The Scarlett I was before this whole mess. The Scarlett who was happy with herself and around people that love her. I missed that Scarlett. I take off the fur coat and really looks at my reflection. I look at the person I've become not just in the past year but since I've left home. I need to go home I need to get away from here. This city and any life with Nicholas Laudel. I grab my paycheck, a more modest coat and my phone. I make my way to the bar and find Andre on her way out.
"Andrea, I don't have a lot of time but I need to tell you something before I go." She sighed
"I love you. You are my sister and my guardian Angel. I should have listened to you when you told me to not lose myself for him. All I can say now is thank you for everything. For the life you offered me."
Andrea hugged me. "I love you so much Scar." She whispered.
"I'm leaving." I tell her.
"Where are you going?"
"Home."
"You're leaving him again." I nodded.
"I need you to give this to him." I handed her a note.
"I will give this to him but only because you are my sister but can I give you one last piece of advice?"
I nodded. "Aren't you tired of running from him, everyone and everything? Eventually you're gonna have to stop and find your home and it doesn't matter where it is, just make sure you're surrounded by people that love you."
"Thank you." I hugged her one last time and got in the cab on my way to my sisters hotel. There she will give me money for a plane ride home a; plane ride to the old me.
