There's 3 Dixon's?

Chapter 33- Days later

3 Days Later.

It's been a few days since I had my mental breakdown. But I'm over it, it's in the past. Now that Kaydee knows why I killed my dad she has slowly started talking to me more often.

"Jess?! Ready for the run?!" Carl hollers from down the stairs, Carl, Glenn, Kaydee and I are going into town for the usuals, food, water, Judith's food and clothes.

"Ya! I'm coming!" I throw my hair into a pony tail and run down the stairs.

"Whoa slow down there. Wouldn't want you to break anything" Carl laughs as he grabs my hand.

"Oh hush grimes" I giggle and we began to walk to the car when Rick approaches us.  "Jess mind if I speak to Carl alone for a sec?" He asks but more in a direct way. "I'll meet you at the car" I smile as I let go of his hand and walked to the blue SUV.

There was Kaydee and Glenn waiting on us. "Where's Carl?" Glenn asks. "Ricks talking to him." I announce.

As I finish my sentence Carl grabs my waist and squeezes. I laugh from the pressure and turned around and hugged him.

"Let's get going you two" Kaydee laughs from the back seat of the SUV.

We hop in the car and drive into town. When we exited the car all you could smell was decay, it reeked.

I covered my mouth with my hands and so did the other three. "What is that smell?" I ask. "Walkers? Dead corpse? I don't know just be careful." Glenn says through his hands.

"Alright you three go into the drug store get meds you can, I'll be getting Judith's stuff." Glenn announces.

We all nod and head to the drug store across the road.

"Kaydee you go to the pharmacy, Jess and I will check out the aisles" Carl says knocking on the window.

After two minutes the coast was clear, no walkers inside. I walked to the feminine hygiene section and grabbed some tampons and such for all the girls back at the prison.

"You think my dads people will Coe looking for us?" I ask Carl concerned.

"I doubt it, they have no idea how to survive, they've been living behind a wall. They probably don't even know how to shoot a gun" he chuckles.

"Ya I-" I was cut off by Kaydees scream.

"KAYDEE!" I holler and head towards the pharmacy. But it was to late two a walker sink it's teeth into her neck.

I shoot the walker in the head and ran over, picked her up in my arms and grabbed ahold of her hand.

"Kaydee please don't go" I whisper and her glossy eyes stare up at me and she smiles threw her tears.

"You'll be alright" she stammers and with that her eyes close. I grab my gun when Carl stops me.

"You don't have to do this Jess" he says with tears flowing down her face.

"She was my bestfriend. I have to do this. For her." I says cocking the gun putting it on her forehead.

When her eyes opened up, but this time her eyes we a pasty yellow; she turned.

"I'm sorry" I whisper and pulled the trigger. I set my gun down and began cradling her, crying. That's when Glenn came in.

"Carl?!Kaydee?!Jess?!" He hollers running into the store. Carl walks out of the pharmacy and breaks the news to Glenn.

He walks in and sees me in hysterics. "Jess I am so sorry" he says kneeling down beside me and the corpse of Kaydee.

I gently set Kaydee down and pulled Glenn into a well needed hug. "She's gone" I whisper. "I know Jess I know" he squeezes me.

Glenn and Carl started packing up the car while I stayed with Kaydee. I just sat against a shelf and watched her corpse.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there for you" I say to her. "I should've been with you" I add.

Glenn and Carl came in a few minutes after and took Kaydee's body and put her in the cars trunk. Carl helped me up and we walked to the car.

As we got in I see Kaydee's necklace. Lying on the car seat. The necklace her mom gave her, she never took it off. How'd it end up here?

"I thought you would want something that was hers, so I took her necklace; she'd want you to have it." Carl said sitting next to me.

I nodded and gave the necklace to Carl for him to put it on my neck.

"Let's go home" Glenn says starting the car and pulling out of the parking lot.
