Enjoy the second chapter! This was really annoying for me to write, my iPad had deleted all my work when I finally finished the chapter! ARGH! Anyway, sorry for the long wait.

Cameron
I walked out of Grace's biology room and into the main corridor. My head was still reeling from today events as my wolf was overjoyed. We had finally found our mate. Since I was going to be Alpha in the future, my pack expected me to have found a strong mate that could lead them.
I had already smelt her delicious scent of cinnamon from the parking lot, and when I stepped out onto the football field, it only got stronger. I knew right away that that smell belonged to my mate. I looked around and saw a girl sitting on the bleachers reading a book. When she lifted her head up, a smile still on her face, I saw her for the first time.
She was breathtaking, with chocolate brown hair hanging as a plait on one shoulder, and smooth, creamy skin that looked soft to touch. Thick eyelashes that curled upwards framed brilliant blue eyes.
She was beautiful. She was perfect. She was. . .wait! She was Grace Spencer, the adopted human daughter of Alpha Brett. And, she just happened to belong to the one pack that were our sworn enemies. Discovering my mate had just made everything a whole lot more complicated.
I mentally sighed as the situation sunk in. Maybe we could reject her? It's not like she would know any different. My wolf snarled in response. I already knew there was no way we'd be able to let her go, it was like she was the piece that I never even knew was missing.

Scanning the lunch cafeteria for my mate was like looking for a needle in a haystack. It was almost impossible looking for her among the hundreds of students that were present that day, but I managed to spot her dark plait as she was walking over to her friends.
I watched as her lips curved into a blinding smile. She has really nice lips. Really full and soft, and I would just like to . . .stop thinking distracting thoughts!
Just as I was about to open my mouth and call out her name when my wolf instincts sensed someone right behind me. Scratch my wolf instincts, I could smell her overpowering perfume that reeked of something too sweet. I groaned internally, knowing this could only mean one person.
"Are you looking for me?" a voice purred seductively into my ear. Turning round, I came face to face with Kelsey Spencer. That's right, Grace's popular, slightly fake, completely annoying, older sister.
My wolf snorted. She doesn't hold a candle to Grace.
I agreed. Grace seemed more innocent and genuine, while Kelsey just gave me the impression of somebody trying too hard.
"Hi Kelsey." I grinned awkwardly, trying not to cringe as she leaned even closer until her chest was pressed tightly against mine.
"I really need help with that maths homework." she said, lowering her eyes in an attempt to look shy. " Maybe you could come over and tutor me on some of those problems." Kelsey looked up, making sure she held my eye contact. I looked away uncomfortably.
"Uhh..." I fidgeted, desperately thinking of a way I could politely reject her. The truth was, she had always scared me, she-wolves were more harder to handle than a group of rogues.
I was about to come up with an excuse when an idea struck me. This could be a great way to be closer to Grace without her becoming too suspicious! In normal circumstances, there would be no way Grace would even talk to me, let alone love me.
"Actually, that'll be great. What time would be good for you?" I asked instead, praying mutely to God that I had made the right choice and it wouldn't backfire in my face afterwards. Kelsey giggled, twirling her hair with one finger. If that was supposed to be attractive, she failed miserably.
"Cool. Is Sunday morning okay?" she chirped in a voice that was probably was too high-pitched for any sane human. I managed to return a weak smile as she leaned even closer, if she could. My wolf squirmed inside, commanding that I ended it immediately.
"S-sure. Well, see you." I stuttered as I gave a small sigh of relief. Kelsey leaned away and skipped down the hall, smiling happily.
"It's a date!" she called as called out from behind, causing everybody in the cafeteria as well as the hall to turn and swivel their heads, in a moment of rare silence. I groaned out loud, not bothering to hide it. Great! Now everybody is going to think that Kelsey and I were a couple now. Especially Grace!
Heading over to my usual table, I slide into the seat at the front and stared moodily at my food. My friends all looked at me expectantly. All my closest friends were part of my pack, which made things a whole lot easier. I didn't have to explain the whole werewolves thing, and then have to deal with people running away screaming.
"So, what's going up with you and chick Kelsey?" Zach, my Beta asked. He had been my best friend ever since we met. Our Dads were also Alpha and Beta, it almost seemed like family tradition.
"Nothing." I answered nonchalantly as I stared at my food. I sighed, finally raising my head and making eye contact. "She just wanted me to come over and help her study."
"Well, you better watch out. She is one tough girl, and your parents are gonna kill you if they find out!" my other friend, Trey chipped in. Always one to look out for the dangers in every situation, Trey was the cautious of our group, always thinking everything through before actually doing it. Like I didn't already know that I'm going to be dead if my parents know what's happening!
Since my Dad was the Alpha, he hated anybody from Kelsey's pack. In fact, he preferred it if we stayed far away from them with no contact. He would force me to reject Grace as a mate, say that she would be unsuitable to lead our pack and become Luna. After all, who has ever heard of a human Luna who can't even shift?
I couldn't disrespect Kelsey either. Technically, I was breaking the rules by speaking to her, never mind going over to her house. If she ever found out I was using her, or if things ended badly, she would make sure both of our packs knew. Kelsey's father is the Alpha, which means she is an important figure. Disrespect her, and you can be sure to wave your life goodbye.
Someone else speaking broke me out of my thoughts. "What are you talking about?! I sure wish I was you! I mean, look at her, she's hot!" Justin, the group's player, spoke up. I rolled my eyes in exasperation. Trust Justin to only think about the looks! He was never in for a serious relationship, just a different girl to hook up with. Even if he did have a girlfriend, they only lasted for about a few weeks at the most.
Zach and Trey shot him a glare which clearly said "Not helping!". I smiled in spite of myself. It was hugely entertaining to see my friends argue with each other, mostly Zach and Trey on one side, with Justin and I on the other. While Zach and Trey took everything seriously and over thought everything, Justin and I tended to treat life as a thing you should enjoy. I often told Trey and Zach that if they kept on worrying, they're gonna end up as old bachelors, wondering what went wrong. Of course, then they shot back, saying that if I view things as a joke, one day I will lose the thing I love most.
I never understood what they were saying until now. If I mess things up with Grace, I won't get another chance.
