After weeks of waiting, weeks of Danny getting all the ghosts, weeks of uselessness, the cast was finally off.

"I am so out of here!" Dani cheered, vaulting out of the car the moment they got home.

"Try to keep up Danny!"

She leaped  into the sky, transforming midway. Her black and white jumpsuit materialized over her, moving effortlessly with her every movement.  Time to make up for lost time.

Dani shot into the darkening sky, Amity Park sprawling beneath her like a glittering carpet. The cold wind brushed its fingers through her hair. For once, she pulled out the pony tail and let her snowy hair spin around her head. This was what it felt like to be alive.

A flash of ecto green flickered over the rooftops.

"Duty calls," she grinned, soaring after it.

Even from above, it was hard to keep track of. The darting green figure seemed to be skimming over the roofs, ducking over and around every obstacle. It wasn't flying...

It was skateboarding.

Recovering from the moment of shock, Dani turned invisible and followed closely. This had to be Gage. She had never seen another ghost, other than Johhny, use any transportation other than flight.

Gage's hood was covering his face, and he was moving with speed and purpose. His black gloved hands were clenched in fists. Dani readied her thermos, just in case he wasn't as nice as he pretended to be.

Finally, he skidded to a halt on top of a small flat topped house. A neat flower garden of roses grew under the windows, and a respectable car was parked out front. Dani hovered silently behind Gage as he surveyed the house.

After a moment Gage phased through the roof. She followed, still invisible and silent.

An eerie sound was floating through the house. She couldn't see Gage, as he must have turned invisible too, but knew this could only be him.

"Get out," he was whispering. The sound floated upwards, crept along the walls, and seemed to rise from the floor.

"Get out and never come back...

A man ran, wild eyed into the living room.

"This is not real. You don't exist. You died!" he yelled, hands pressed over his ears. The man's eyes were baggy from lack of sleep, and his hands were clamped into fists.

"You don't belong here..." Gage's voice groaned. "You never belonged here. Leave. LEAVE!"

Dani had heard enough. She located where the voice was coming from and tackled the invisible form. They crashed through several rooms before finally landing in the backyard. Dani grabbed his arm and heaved him skyward.

"You little spook!" she accused, becoming visible again. "So you think just because you're a ghost now you can become a haunter? Guess again!"

Gage turned visible again and fought furiously for her to release his arm.

"No! I was so close! You have to let me go!"

"So you can torment that poor man all over again? Not a chance."

She sucked him back inside the Fenton thermos. But not before he got a good look at her face. Not before he recognized the girl he had snuck out to visit.

And not before she saw the real anguish in his glowing yellow eyes.
