How the story goes:

I am a sentimental girl. I am emo.

I love inflicting pain on myself because people are mean to me.

I am strolling around in London.

I run into One Direction (who I have nothing particularly against, but otherwise I generally like death-metal and rock music).

We become good friends because they see scars on my arms.

I follow their advice and make myself feel better.

I'm in love with one of them (a lot of times because he also seems to have a self-abusive past).

He's also in love with me because of my strong personality and my impeccable skill to not let others words bother me any more.

We are perfect for each other.

Okay, now I realize I must have sounded extremely rude, but let me just start off with saying that I have nothing against emo people (hell, I have emo friends). But I would like to point out that people have to stop getting so uptight about what people think about them.

Now, I have a whole bunch of philosophy I would like to write down here about why self confidence is necessary and stuff, because otherwise this part is probably going to get reported. However, I really want to leave you with one quote from an other wise extremely controversial topic.

Don't think of yourself as different. Think of yourself as unique.

Getting back to the rant at hand: WHY THE HELL WOULD ONE DIRECTION CARE IF ONE OF THE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WHO DON'T EVEN LIKE THEM VERY MUCH SEEMS TO BE CUTTING HERSELF?

No, really, thnk about it. You're a girl who's slightly upset about her way of life. You run into One Direction (again in London, I would like to point out) and they seem to be able to tell that you cut. And then they take time out of their lives to help you out. You. As an individual.

This is not only improbable, but in my opinion, seemingly impossible, unless you happen to attract their attention in some other ways.

The other fact is that I get that you need to make one of them abusive to have something in common with them, but all the flashbacks I have seen have some kind of bloody history behind them. Now, I'm a sadistic person, but self-torture and self-abuse does not make a mark on my list. Because... well, I'm going back to the controversial topic, so let's just leave it with this.
