The One Shot Series: Katniss and Peeta

Peeta and I moved to the Capitol and now migrate between Panem and France. 

How the hell did I end up in complete control of two entire countries?

I get it might have something to do with the fact that each of my biological parents was a supreme powerhead. 

I tried to deny the control of Panem, but seeing as no one else wanted it, I was stuck. 

Arielle and Amelie are both 5 years old now. 

 they're starting school this year, but to avoid complication, they'll stay with Micaela when we're not in France. 

Turns out Alistair had been hijacked regularly thoughout his life, so him and my sister are living a mostly happy life. 

At age 23, Peeta and I have only grown to love each other even more. 

As the story goes, President Snow was born and raised in France. 

he met Diessa and they conceived a child back before the world was scary. 

once war and death broke out in a place called North America, Snow jumped in and instantly took over. 

the country was a mess, anyone could have become their leader. 

Somewhere in there, he became ashamed of me. 

Diessa became infuriated that Snow was becoming such a tyrant, so when she asked for a divorce he took a 2 year old me and left her. 

he grew fond of a very young Taulia Ingrid and conned her into a marriage. 

She too had been hijacked into thinking that Katniss was her daughter. 

before she met Snow, she had been involved with Thomas Everdeen of District 12. 

Since the child had been born before her marriage to Snow, she believed that the child must have been fathered by Thomas. 

In a fit of rage, Snow became angry with Taulia and threw her in jail, sending me to live with my mother in Paris. 

When i was ten, after Diessa refused to give me up, i was forcefully removed from France and taken back to Panem where I was sent to District 12 to live with Thomas Everdeen, whom i thought was my real father. 

a year later Snow and Taulia had another huge fight and he had a mine in twelve burnt down, killing Thomas and leaving me alone with Amy and Primrose-who it turns out i'm in no way related to. 

When i was sixteen Snow and Taulia had once again another fight and he reaped Prim into the games, knowing that i would volunteer to save her. 

after i fucked everything up for him and started a rebellion, he made the unthinkable move. 

exposing my alter ego at the reaping, causing me to come out of the shadows and embrace every aspect of my screwed over life. 

Peeta was another complication that Snow wasn't expecting. 

he didn't think that i would ever fall in love with my partner in the fight ot the death. 

let alone marry him and get pregnant with two twin girls. 

he probably didnt expect me to escape his death wish and run off to my mommy. 

things have been hard for me. 

i dont think they were ever meant to work out.

my life was and is cursed. 

im pretty sure i am the only person to have assumed i had 3 different fathers and two different mothers. 

although i now know who my real parents are, all of them were equal to me-except Snow of course.

I always tell Peeta how lucky he is to have lived with his entire family for the first 19 years of his life. 

even today, Peeta is the closest thing I have to family. 

Gale came around eventually, and now runs the Peacekeeper force-which now actually keeps the peace. 

Primrose and Amy still work in Apothecary, but now they help more people than ever at Panem's top hospital.

all's well that ends well for us. 

that is, as well as a life like mine can end.

maybe things will go wrong again.

but you never know.
