Zoe's POV

My eyes flickered open slowly, but immediately squeezed shut when met by the bright fluorescent lights. After a few seconds I opened them again and leaned forward ever so slightly to observe my surroundings.

Ugh, a hospital room. Great.

There's no worse feeling than waking up in a hospital room with no recollection of how you got there. I laid back down with a sigh and shook my head. How the hell did I get here?

"You're awake..."

I turned my head to see Bill peeking his head into the doorway, his arm in a sling.

I stared at him in confusion for a moment before I slowly came to my senses.

"Bill, what the hell happened? Where's Junior?" I questioned, propping myself up on one elbow.

"No, don't sit up. Lay back down, you can't strain yourself..." He said, walking over to me. I laid down as he fiddled with the controls on the hospital bed until it sat upright. He pulled up a chair beside me and reached for my hand before taking a deep breath. .

"What?" I asked, analyzing his expression. "Where's Junior?"

"He left about an hour ago to get Heaven and bring her here. They should be showing up any minute now..."

I sighed in relief and nodded. "And what about you? Are you okay?"

He offered a weak smile. "You know I'm always alright..." He joked.

I giggled and rolled my eyes. "Yeah, I think your arm would disagree..." I teased, gesturing toward his cast.

He smacked his lips and narrowed his eyes at me, fighting back a smile. "I think I liked you better unconscious..."

Junior's POV

"Junior... Junior!" Heaven bugged, tapping my shoulder.

"Heaven, chill out, you're gonna make me wreck!" I snapped, shrugging her away and focusing my attention back on the road.

"Tell me where we're going!" She whined.

"I already told you. We're going to the hospital."

"Why?" She questioned. I ignored her and stared ahead. "Why, Junior?"

"To see Mom and Dad, alright? Now sit back and shut up until we get there!"

She huffed and crossed her arms, staring out the passenger window. I feel bad for talking to her that way, but I have too much on my mind to deal with her brattiness.

The car remained quiet for about 5 minutes as I weaved through traffic. The silence was exactly what I needed to focus on getting to the hospital as quickly as possible.

"Junior?" Heaven called.

I sighed. So much for peace and quiet. I looked over at her. "What, Hev?"

Her eyes were fearful. "What's wrong with them?"

I couldn't bear to look her in the eyes anymore so I turned my head back to the road quickly. "I didn't mean to scare you... Don't worry, everything is alright. The doctors said Mom would be fine." I assured her.
