He had small stuble around his lower half of his face. He had chocolate brown eyes, and a military hair cut on his head. "Well my head hurts really bad, a lot of pressure. A 9 or 10."
"Is it the pressure of the bandage?" I brushed my skull lightly, and discovered the new wrap around my head.
"No. It feels like my brain is throbbing. Other than that, hardly any pain in my stomach, just a little. Maybe between 2 and 3. Nothing to worry about. My hips hurt really bad. A 6-7." I managed to front a fake smile to the doctor.
"Well, I'll call the scanning room, and we are going to do a full body scan. Are you claustrophobic?" I shook my head. "Do you remember what happened? Who's the president?"
"Sadly. And the president is Obama." He sympathetically smiled.
"Everything will be okay now. Oh and just to let you know, you've been sleeping for a while. We put you in a medically induced coma, so your head could heal properly. You were asleep for a whole 2 months." He left the room abruptly and got on his phone. After a couple of minutes, he entered the room and announced he was taking me now. He pushed buttons and levers on the side of the bed, and began rolling me out of the room. I passed many nurses and volunteers, and many visitors before getting to the elevator. My heart was beating so fast, I could hear my heartbeat.
When we got to the scanning room I noticed a "Warning! Radiation!" sign with the symbol. He immediatley put a heavy vest on me, and helped me into the metal bed. "Ready?" I lifted my arm and saw I had a couple of stitches where the man stabbed my arm. I shuddered remembering what happened. The whole time I was scared to ask about Niall.
I gave him a thumbs up and laid down as he pushed me into the metal death trap. "Stay down until you are fully out of the machine. I'll help you out of it." He began sliding me out and walked through the door to help me. I took a long blink, and remembered what happened. I remembered everything. I shook with the thought. He laid me on the bed, and rolled me down the hall to the elevators, and back down the hall to the elevators. When I got to my room, he finally asked if I could walk. "Would you like to try?" Hesitantly I nodded, and got to my feet. He held my arm, but I walked around my room. Smiling and laughing, I was prouder than proud.
"I hear you have a visitor." He motioned me to sit, so I sat in the big patient chair I had. I pulled the robe tighter.
"Really? Who?" I kind of hoped it was Niall moreover Adrianna. "Is there anything medical wise you need to tell me?"
"Well, I do have to know more stuff, so I can decided things. Diagnose things. Do you have trouble sleeping?"
"I keep having really bad nightmares."
"I can diagnose that as insomnia, and prescribe you medication to help. Anything else?"
"No."
"I'll be back the day you leave," he saw me about to ask a question, but he said the answer before I asked, "and I think it might be in around 4 days. You seem to be in pretty good shape."
There was a knock on the door, while my doctor farewelled me. Curiously, I watched someone walk in, but I noticed who it was. "Adrianna!" I screamed. She ran up to me, and hugged me tightly. She cried happy tears into my shoulder blade.
