Jason watched as his parents car pulled into the drive. He still hadn't picked up all the glass and he'd accidentally cut his hand twice.
"Oh My Goodness!" Came his mum's voice as she exited the car.
"JASON!" His Dad called and Jason stood his ground. His parents stormed into the house.
"What on earth happened?" His mum squealed.
"It wasn't my fault" Jason stammered, losing his confidence and shrinking away from his dad, who looked ready to hit him.
"Not your fault? Is this your way of getting back at us for Amelia? We will not take this!" His dad bellowed, grabbing him roughly by the arm.
"Oh honey don't hurt him" Jason's mother protested quietly. Jason suddenly had flashbcks from his childhood.
He knew his parents loved him but his Dad did tend to get rather 'physical' when it came to punishments.
Jason cried out as his dad put more pressure on his arm.
"He needs to be punished. No son of mine breaks a window and spray paints a wall and thinks he can get away with it."
"Dad please...stop!" Jason cried trying to force his dad away, but he was a large man, much stronger than Jason.
His dad ignored him and dragged him from the room. Jason could hear his mum whimpering behind them, whether she was upset about the window or him, he couldn't tell.
His dad threw him roughly into his room and slammed the door shut.
Jason rubbed his arm and pulled up his sleeve to see it was bright red and already starting to turm a moldy blue.
He stepped over to his wardrobe and glared at his reflection in the mirror. Jason was tall and he was muscley for someone of his age but he still wasn't strong enough to defend himself. He hated it.
Jason was just glad that he could have some time alone and although the day had barely begun, he curled up in bed and scrolled aimlessly through instagram.
He was left in there all day, with no meals and by night fall, Jason's stomach was sore and growling. He was starving but he was too afraid to go ask his dad for food.
So he stayed in bed, turned out the bedside lamp and went to sleep, tears in his eyes, a hand placed on his sore arm and growling in his stomach.
