Jason slumped miserably up to his room and stared down at his phone.

He was looking at his home page photo...a picture of Alfie and him, Alfie leant over kissing Jason on the cheek and Jason mid laughter.

Tears welled up in his eyes and dropped onto the phone screen in front of him.

He threw his phone accross the room and heard it smash against his wall before falling to the floor.

Jason had nothing left. Alfie made him a better person and without him he was nothing...worth nothing.

The days slowly passed as Jason sat in his room by the window. Alfie had tried to visit but Jason had painfully ignored him with tears in his eyes.

The worst part was that after Alfie had left his dad gave him a pat on the back as if he were proud...of himself. Jason hated him.

He was threatening the two people he cared most about, his mum and Alfie.

He knew that university was starting soon and it would be just like college. He knew Mason, Greg and Amelia would be there...and Alfie.

The town was small and only had one University which was an acceptable distance away. People like Drew who didn't mind a long distance to go to school were going somewhere else.

Jason had hoped Mason, Amelia and Greg would go with Drew but just because Jason's life wasn't bad enough they were going to the same uni as him!

The only thing Jason was escaping was the teachers. He thought about having to see Alfie at University and wanted to cry again.

He couldn't believe what he was doing to the boy and he felt awful. He hated himself for it. More so than he hated his dad.

Jason quietly slid away from his rain covered window and trudged downstairs as his mum called him.

"Jason dear" she said cheerily, a bright smile on her face which made Jason's heart ache.

"Yes mum?" Jason replied, trying not to sound how he felt.

"Oh! Do get dressed...we are having a special guest!" She cried, mixing something in a frying pan and Jason's heart skipped a beat.

Alfie? Please let it be Alfie! Were his first thoughts and he rushed upstairs to get ready.

His bruises had cleared up mostly but he still had cuts on his chest. Jason looked awful, his eyes puffy and red from crying and he just looked...miserable.

He sighed and pulled on a pair of black jeans and a grey top. Great! Now you look even more depressed! He thought, glaring at his reflection and changing his shirt to a navy blue chequered shirt.

The door bell rang and Jason felt his breath catch in his throat. He ran downstairs. Ready to give Alfie the biggest hug he could.

Deep down he knew he was being foolish but hope had over taken any sense of plausibility.

He swung the front door open and a girl jumped into his arms, Jason stumbled back in shock...not knowing what to do or how to react.

Amelia.
