When Noah arrived, my mom answered the door. In this reality it seemed as though she hated him.We told her we were going swimming, but really we went exploring. We checked out the barn. We had twelve horses. I looked for the name plate that read "Scarlet", and found it at the very end of the barn. She was the most beautiful horse in the whole barn. She was tall, about sixteen hands high, with a beautiful chestnut coat. She had a white blaze down her face, and a white sock on her hind legs. I went into the tack room and brought her a few treats, then left towards the golf cart. Noah had spotted it a little ways away, and suggested we take it instead of walking. It was a gorgeous evening. The sun was setting and a breeze had picked up. We discovered the two tennis courts near a huge pool, and a trail that looked like it lead into the woods. I wanted to explore what was down there, so we started in that direction. Once we made it a little ways in, Noah mentioned he found some history about my family. He said that my grandparents were both millionaires from France, that made their money as doctors. My other set of grandparents on my dad's side, are the complete opposite. They were farmers that struggled for food. My mom grew up with everything she wanted, while my dad grew up with chickens on a farm in Texas. They met in high school during summer school. My mom's family had moved to Texas at the beginning of that school year. They both became lawyers and did extremely well. After I was born my dad quit his job and moved back to Texas, leaving my mom in California to raise me. That's when she hired Julie. My mom had her take care of me while she figured out ways to make more money. I was shocked to hear what Noah was saying. "So, Julie is raising me?" I asked him. "Your mom is trying her best. She wants you to have the same life she did, but needs help. Julie was her best friend all through out school. Your mom is an only child like you, so Julie was like a sister to her," he answered. I understand . Angie was more of sister then Cadence was. "I get it." I replied, and we drove back to the house. Our yard was huge. We had acres of land. I wish I had more memories of this place. I bet I loved being in the yard playing with my horse when she was a foal, and with my dogs as puppies and my friends. I bet I used to camp out in the yard on the weekends, watching the sunset. I wonder what our history was like. How Noah and I met, how long we've been together. Then something hit me. "Noah, will you remember both worlds and everything we've been through?" his eyes glassed over. "Y-yes."
