I looked around but I couldn't see anything. It was extremely bright, the light was blinding. When it finally dimmed, I noticed I was in a room. Every wall was made of glass and all I could see was my reflection. I started breathing heavily. The walls felt like they were closing in. I couldn't handle it and smashed the glass with my wrist. To my surprise, Noah was on the other side. I let out a sigh of relief and hugged him. I asked him where we were, but he didn't know. I broke the wall to my right and as I suspected, Lucas was on the other side. Together we broke the walls in front of us and headed off looking for a way out. Out of nowhere Noah shouted," I know where we are!" This is the realm traveler's headquarters! Wait, why are you two here, it doesn't make any sense? You two aren't realm jumpers?" Lucas smiled. "I am. You are looking at the newest addition to the jumper's team." Noah and I looked at each other and simultaneously our mouths fell open. "That explains everything," Noah said looking at me. "In a reality you can only have one jumper. Somehow, Lucas managed to come too." I shook my head."Wait, before we continue I want to know something. Why the hell am I here?" he sighed. "So I guess now is a good time to tell you. The life you grew up in was fake. Both your parents were jumpers, but died on a mission leaving you behind. Your mother hated being a jumper and didn't want you to grow up as one. That's when the president, your grandfather, put you in a reality to live a normal life. He made it so that you would be counted as a human and not a jumper. That's why I was allowed to be with you. Lucas being here is the reason I'm losing my memory. I just don't know why he was granted access to that world." He looked at Lucas, "Do you know anything?" He shook his head."No, I swear I don't. I never wanted to mess up your world. Honestly, I don't know what happened." I felt my shoulders drop. I heard footsteps coming towards us, and I hid behind Noah. "I know what happened," the voice said making me more nervous. A man appeared from the shadows. "Mr. President." Noah and Lucas said in unison. This was my grandfather? He is about my height with pure white hair. We have the same green eyes and he was wearing a suit. He turned toward me holding out a hand. "I'm Lenard Brickington, head of the jumpers and your grandfather." I shook his hand back," Caterina Lehman. Pleasure to finally meet you." By his last name I assumed he was my mom's dad. "I sent Lucas to the world to bring you back. If Noah lost his memory, it would give me a reason to see you again. You are almost an adult, and that's the time for you to choose. Your mother told me to never let you have a choice, but I thought that was wrong." I looked at him for a second," Pick between human or jumper, right?" He nodded. "If you choose to be a jumper, your life will remain the same, but you will have to travel realms and achieve different tasks. If you pick being human, I will erase all your memory and you may never return here. You can find me in the north wing when you have an answer." He nodded and disappeared into the shadows once again.
